It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to break out the fantasy football flex rankings for Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season. If you’re new to the concept of flex rankings, these are simply the combined overall rankings for running back, wide receiver and tight end for each week during the fantasy football season. These are not suggestions for who to start in your flex spots.
This list is our initial rankings, but rankings will change a lot throughout the week. This post will not be updates, so if you want all the latest updates, then be sure to check our staff rankings page. Promo code “RATPACK” gets you a discount on any FTN subscription.
Week 9 Flex Rankings (2023) — Top 100
1. Tyreek Hill (WR1) vs. KC – The magical season for Hill continues this weekend in Germany.
2. Ja’Marr Chase (WR2) vs. BUF – Chase continues to trend up and has yet to see fewer than eight targets in any game this season.
3. Alvin Kamara (RB1) vs. CHI – He’s topped 20 touches in all five games this season and is the de facto No. 1 with Christian McCaffrey on bye this week.
4. Travis Kelce (TE1) vs. MIA – Kelce is poised to bounce back in what should be a shootout.
5. A.J. Brown (WR3) vs. DAL – He set an NFL record with six straight games of 125-plus receiving yards.
6. Stefon Diggs (WR4) at CIN – He’s fantasy’s No. 3 wide receiver so far this season.
7. Saquon Barkley (RB2) at LV – Unlike the rest of his team, Barkley has looked very good this season and gets to face a reeling Raiders defense.
8. Austin Ekeler (RB3) at NYJ – Ekeler got it done as a pass catcher last week and gets a plus matchup against the Jets.
9. Breece Hall (RB4) vs. LAC – He’s an explosive play waiting to happen.
10. CeeDee Lamb (WR5) at PHI – Lamb finally seems to be prioritized in the Cowboys’ offense, as he’s topped 100 yards in each of his last two games.
11. Keenan Allen (WR6) at NYJ – He’s one of just nine wide receivers with at least 50 catches on the season.
12. Josh Jacobs (RB5) vs. NYG – I know. But Jacobs is coming off a strong outing, and things really can’t get any worse with Josh McDaniels out of the mix.
13. Jonathan Taylor (RB6) at CAR – He looked like his old self last week and gets a fantastic matchup.
14. Bijan Robinson (RB7) vs. MIN – Robinson scored his first rushing touchdown last week and figures to see a favorable gamescript against a Vikings team who will be starting a fifth-round rookie.
15. Adam Thielen (WR7) vs. IND – The veteran has at least seven catches in every game since Week 1.
16. Davante Adams (WR8) vs. NYG – The Raiders are expected to start Aidan O’Connell this week. He targeted Adams 13 times in his previous start, connecting eight times for 75 yards.
17. Joe Mixon (RB8) vs. BUF – Like the rest of the Bengals offense, Mixon is surging.
18. Raheem Mostert (RB9) vs. KC – Mostert remains an RB1 play, but this will be the final game before De’Von Achane is due back from injured reserve.
19. Cooper Kupp (WR9) at GB – Matthew Stafford’s thumb injury puts a damper on Kupp’s outlook.
20. D’Andre Swift (RB10) vs. DAL – This is a tough matchup, but Swift has at least 18 touches in every game since Week 4.
21. Isiah Pacheco (RB11) vs. MIA – Pacheco offers a high floor in what should be a shootout against the Dolphins.
22. Jaylen Waddle (WR10) vs. KC – We finally saw Waddle approach his ceiling last week. Start everyone in this game.
23. Derrick Henry (RB12) at PIT – Henry remains a workhorse, but the overall state of the Titans offense continues to cap his value.
