DeMario Douglas Worth Starting Thanks To High Volume

New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas has emerged as one of quarterback Drake Maye's most dependable options on offense. As a result, Douglas generates enough volume to give himself legitimate WR3/FLEX appeal in full-PPR and even some half-PPR leagues. Over the last two weeks, Douglas has totaled 14 targets, 11 catches, and 85 yards all despite playing fewer than 50 percent of the offensive snaps last Sunday. This week, the Patriots face the Los Angeles Rams, whose defense has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. They're a little better against slot receivers (like Douglas) than perimeter receivers, but the Patriots' 23-year-old pass-catcher should be trusted as a WR3 in most fantasy leagues.

DeMario Douglas Remains Productive In Week 10 Win

New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas caught four of his five targets for 50 yards during Sunday's Week 10 win over the Chicago Bears. Despite a tough matchup versus a Bears defense that defends slot receivers quite well, Douglas was able to be productive, registering four-plus catches for the fourth time in the last six weeks. He continues to showcase a strong rapport with Drake Maye and should be treated as a low-end WR3 heading into a battle with the Los Angeles Rams next weekend.

Demario Douglas' Hot Stretch Meets Tough Matchup In Week 10

New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas hasn't been the most consistent contributor this season, but he has generally been trending in the right direction ever since the team installed rookie Drake Maye as its starting quarterback. Douglas has six-plus catches in four of his last seven games, including a seven-catch, 35-yard showing just last Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Douglas isn't a major yardage producer, but he has trustworthy hands and commands plenty of volume within the Patriots' offense. Although the 23-year-old is trending up, he gets a very unfavorable matchup this week in the form of the Bears. Chicago has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing slot receivers like Douglas, so even if New England finds itself playing from behind, the receiver could have trouble overcoming strong coverage from the Bears' secondary. Douglas has volume-based WR3 upside in PPR leagues, but his floor is also quite low.
