The 23-year-old was headed for a low-volume, low-yardage performance when Maye boosted his fantasy production by scrambling toward the goal line and shoveling the ball to Douglas for a three-yard touchdown. The Liberty product has struggled to command a significant target share over the last couple of weeks as Maye continues to spread the ball around to players like Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Kendrick Bourne, and Kayshon Boutte. As a result, Douglas will rank outside the top 36 fantasy receivers heading into Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills.

The second-year receiver typically operates out of the slot, making him a dependable safety valve for Drake Maye in short-yardage scenarios. Fortunately for Douglas, the Cardinals struggle to defend slot receivers, allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to the position. New England's 24-year-old pass catcher is a dependable WR3 option as the fantasy playoffs get underway this week.

Although four targets represent solid volume, Douglas' low yardage total was not enough to put him on the fantasy radar in Week 13. In fact, this was his lowest yardage and fantasy points total since Week 8 against the New York Jets. As New England pass-catchers Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Kayshon Boutte, and Kendrick Bourne continue to command significant target shares, there may be fewer opportunities for Douglas. He should rank as a WR4 in fantasy football on the other side of the Patriots' Week 14 bye.
