The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt writes that New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson's stock is up this offseason. Wilson was the best player on the field for all of the spring practices open to the media while making highlight-reel catches and rarely dropping any of quarterback Justin Fields' passes. The new coaching staff is highlighting Wilson's ability to improvise on routes while also making sure Wilson is where Fields expects him to be on any given play. Outside of running back Breece Hall, the team doesn't have a clear No. 2 pass-catcher, which leads Rosenblatt to speculate that Wilson could set a Jets record for targets and catches in 2025. Despite seeking a new contract, the 24-year-old was present for OTAs and minicamp. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 16 fantasy wideout, but if Fields makes strides as a passer, Wilson has clear WR1 upside this year.

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson and cornerback Sauce Gardner, who are both seeking contract extensions this offseason, are participating in the team's mandatory minicamp this week, according to Newsday's Al Iannazzone. Wilson is entering yet another season with a new quarterback, this time his old college teammate Justin Fields. The 24-year-old former 10th overall pick in 2022 out of Ohio State has put up three straight 1,000-yard seasons to begin his NFL career and had a career-best 101 catches and seven touchdowns in 17 starts in 2024. Wilson will be the team's unquestioned WR1 this year now that Davante Adams is gone, but his fantasy upside will depend on the efficiency of New York's offense and Fields. The Jets are expected to lean heavily on their ground game, making Wilson more of a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in fantasy.

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is expected to see a larger workload next season. Head coach Aaron Glenn recently said during a press conference that they want to get Wilson the ball as much as possible. He didn't really add on much to that statement, but it shouldn't be surprising that the Jets want to get their best wideout the ball as often as possible. Despite some lackluster play at quarterback last season, Wilson finished with 101 receptions, 1,104 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in 17 games. The Jets are hopeful that Justin Fields can give them a better performance under center this upcoming season. Wilson might creep his way into the WR1 discussion, but for now is a safe WR2 in fantasy formats.
