How do I use the NBA Power Rankings Table?

Our NBA Power Rankings table includes the following columns to give you a full picture of the landscape of the NBA:

Team: All 30 NBA Teams have a ranking
Conference: the conference that the respective team belongs to.
Record: Each team’s current record at the time of these rankings.
Current Rank: Where each team currently sits in our power rankings
Previous: Where each team ranked last week
Week Diff: The difference between where the team ranks now and a week ago. Use this column to discover which teams are trending in the right direction each week
Preseason: Where each team ranked in the preseason
Pre Diff: The difference between where the team ranks now and in the preseason. Use this column to discover which teams are overperforming or underperforming preseason expectations.
