The PGA Tour takes a rare trip to Philly Cricket Club this week for the Truist Championship. The course is filling in for Quail Hollow, so we should enjoy the Cricket Club while we can.
Golf architecture snobs rant and rave about this course but sadly we aren’t going to see it with its full teeth. Pre-tournament rain has softened the course, so the winner likely flirts with 20-under on this classical, par-70 track.
As a reminder this is a course that is near and dear to Alex Blickle’s heart, so definitely check out the Truist Hot Takes before submitting any lineups. Now here are my favorites for DFS this week.

Rory McIlroy
Looking at baseline stats, he’s more than two shots per round better than the field this week. That’s a tough feat considering the field strength. Looking at other similar fields, the last 14 times there has been a golfer that separates by more than 2 strokes per round, they went on to win half the time. Combine that with his insane driving ability allowing him to carry anything he wants this week, I think he’s the man to plug in at the top.
