Bismack Biyombo Starting On Thursday

San Antonio Spurs center Bismack Biyombo will get the starting nod at the center spot during Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns. The Spurs have a massive void to fill in their rotation following the loss of superstar big man Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) who has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Biyombo will move into the starting five on Thursday, but the Spurs will likely try out multiple players at the center spot. Sandro Mamukelashvili should also see more minutes, but neither player is looking like anything more than a deep league option. Honestly, Charles Bassey (knee) might be the best option out of the bunch once he's cleared to play again.

De'Aaron Fox To Make Team Debut On Wednesday

San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aaron Fox is set to make his team debut against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Fox was acquired by the Spurs in part of a three-team trade on Monday. The addition of Fox almost certainly means that Chris Paul will move to the bench. It seems likely that the Spurs would want to pair rookie Stephon Castle with Fox in the backcourt. Fox was one of the best point guards in the league while playing in Sacramento. That should continue to be the case in San Antonio, so fantasy managers better make sure to get Fox active in their lineups.

De'Aaron Fox Traded To The Spurs

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Spurs, Bulls, and Kings completed a three-team deal, resulting in guard De'Aaron Fox (and guard Jordan McLaughlin) heading to San Antonio. Also included in the trade; guard Kevin Huerter, forward/center Zach Collins, and guard Tre Jones will move to Chicago while the Kings will add guard Zach LaVine and guard Sidy Cissoko to the roster. The 2017 No. 5 overall pick has spent his entire career in Sacramento, averaging 21.5 points, 6.1 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 514 regular-season games. Reports regarding Fox's desire to head to the Spurs intensified over the last few weeks. But he'll get his wish and will now be paired with up-and-coming center Victor Wembanyama and future Hall of Fame guard Chris Paul. Fox should continue to get his minutes, and it's likely a change of scenery will give him added motivation to be even more productive moving forward. With that in mind, having Fox on the roster should mean less work for Stephon Castle, although the rookie could benefit in the years ahead now that he's playing alongside and learning from another All-Star.
