Brooklyn Nets center Day'Ron Sharpe (knee) remains out for Thursday's matchup with the Atlanta Hawks. The big man has been unavailable for the past seven games due to a right knee sprain. Brooklyn Nets small forward Cameron Johnson (back) will not suit up for Thursday's contest against the Atlanta Hawks. Due to a nagging back injury, Johnson is not ready to return for Thursday night. This will be Johnson's fifth consecutive game that he's going to miss. His next chance to play will be against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, but the Nets have just three games left in their season, and Johnson just might get sidelined for the rest of the season due to his back injury. With Johnson out, Trendon Watford will remain in the starting lineup.

Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell (ankle) will not be in action on Thursday against the Atlanta Hawks. Russell is set to miss the game due to right ankle soreness. Thursday will mark the third-straight game that Russell will miss. His next chance to suit up will be on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Reece Beekman will remain in the starting unit on Thursday due to Russell's absence. This season, Russell has played 28 games with the Nets, averaging 12.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game.
