Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) is not practicing on Thursday, marking the fifth consecutive official practice he has been held out of since suffering a knee injury in the Week 18 win over the Cleveland Browns. Flowers, who posted his first 1,000-yard season and earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2024, is looking unlikely to suit up against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday. The 2023 first-round pick played in every regular-season game in his second year with the franchise, and the timing of the injury in unfortunate. With Flowers likely out of action this week, Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, and Justice Hill should see additional opportunities in the passing game. His potential absence could loom large in Baltimore's chances to collect a road victory at Buffalo and advance to the AFC Championship Game.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) is not practicing on Wednesday ahead of the AFC Divisional Round game against the Buffalo Bills. Reports suggest Flowers has an outside chance to play against Buffalo on Sunday, but missing the first session of the week is not a promising sign. The second-year pro earned his first Pro Bowl nod this season after catching 74 passes for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns. He did not miss a game this year before suffering a knee injury in the Week 18 win over the Cleveland Browns, forcing him to miss the AFC Wild Card bout against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Flowers can't go this week, wide receiver Rashod Bateman, tight end Mark Andrews, and running back Justice Hill should see more work in the passing game.
When asked about the status of wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) for the upcoming Divisional Round showdown against the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said they are in "we'll-see" mode. "He's working hard to get back. We'll see toward the end of the week if he's practicing. He can play without practicing, for sure, if he feels healthy enough and it's safe for him," Harbaugh said. Flowers sprained his knee in the Week 18 win over the Cleveland Browns and was inactive for the wild-card playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. The 24-year-old could play this weekend against Buffalo without practicing, but he'd be a much riskier lineup option for fantasy managers. With Flowers out on Saturday in the win over Pittsburgh, Rashod Bateman benefitted the most and caught a touchdown, with Tylan Wallace and Nelson Agholor also seeing the field in three-wide sets.
