Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee/rest) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Brown has been consistently receiving rest for several weeks so his limited participation on Wednesday comes as no surprise. Despite the rest, Brown has been quiet throughout the playoffs. In two games played, Brown has only recorded three receptions for 24 yards. The Eagles have consistently ridden running back Saquon Barkley to victory. With the high-powered offense of the Washington Commanders coming to town for the NFC Championship, Brown may be needed to take a larger role in the offense. Brown is absolutely capable of carrying a big load. He recorded 1,079 receiving yards in 13 games this season. That came after recording at least 1,456 yards in each of his first two seasons in Philadelphia. Look for Brown to ramp up his practice participation throughout the week ahead of the NFC Championship on Sunday.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had a subdued performance in the 28-22 Divisional Round win over the Los Angeles Rams, finishing with just two receptions for 14 yards. Over the last three games, Brown has averaged two catches for 20 yards, a surprising dip for one of the league's most elite receivers. The Eagles have leaned heavily on Saquon Barkley and the ground game during this stretch, limiting Brown's opportunities. He hasn't found the end zone since Week 16 against the Cowboys, but his ability to stretch the field and make big plays remains critical to Philadelphia's success. As the Eagles prepare to host the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game, Brown's role in the passing attack will be pivotal.
According to the team, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) is off the injury report prior to their playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. Brown saw out during the initial session on Wednesday and upgraded to limited participation on Thursday. The top wideout was able to log a full session on Friday and does not carry a designation into the weekend. The 27-year-old has had his practice sessions monitored over the past month due to a lingering knee injury. Last weekend, during their wild-card victory over the Packers, Brown caught just one of his three targets for ten yards. However, Brown scored three touchdowns during Weeks 15 through 17 while averaging 81 yards per game. Fantasy managers should view him as a WR1 in all DFS competitions this weekend despite facing a Los Angeles defense that has allowed the 14th-fewest PPR points to opposing wide receivers.
