A.J. Brown Does Not Practice Wednesday

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. Brown picked up the injury during practice ahead of the Eagles' Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons. He has previously stated that the injury would likely cost him "a couple of weeks". As such, the lack of practice activity comes as no surprise. Unless Brown can ramp up his activity later in the week, it would appear that he is in line to miss his second game in a row. Hopefully, Brown's injury does not drag out too long. He was his usual self in Week 1 on his way to five receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown. Fantasy managers will be eager to get that kind of production back.

A.J. Brown Expects To Miss A Couple Of Weeks

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) told ESPN's Lisa Salters that he expects to miss a couple of weeks due to the hamstring injury that he suffered in practice last Friday. Brown was ruled out of the Monday night contest against the visiting Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 and could also end up missing the Week 3 showdown in New Orleans against the 2-0 Saints. With Brown out, DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson will be Philly's top two receivers, with tight ends Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra also seeing more targets from quarterback Jalen Hurts in the passing game. We'll have a better idea of Brown's status for Week 3 when the Eagles return to practice on Wednesday, but fantasy managers should already be looking for a replacement. Browns is a must-start, high-end WR1 when healthy. He caught five of 10 targets for 119 yards and a TD in the Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers.

A.J. Brown Won't Play In Week 2

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) has been downgraded to out ahead of Monday Night Football versus the Atlanta Falcons. He had already been trending in the wrong direction after missing practice on Saturday, and now we get confirmation that he won't suit up on primetime television. Fantasy managers will appreciate the timing of this announcement as it gives them roughly one hour to find a replacement for Brown in their lineups before the Sunday 1 p.m. games kick off. The Eagles will move forward with DeVonta Smith as their No. 1 receiver on Monday with additional opportunities for Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert.Jahan Dotson should get more looks, too, but he's not a dependable option for fantasy lineups in leagues with 14 teams or fewer.
