Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. grabbed six of his nine targets for 113 yards in the team's 27-24 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittman had, far and away, his best game of the season so far, coming against an opponent that has severely limited No. 1 WRs through the first three weeks. Despite the change in QB after the injury to Anthony Richardson (hip), Pittman saw a pretty even split in production once QB Joe Flacco relieved him. Pittman got 60 yards from Richardson and the other 53 from Flacco. Pittman was tied with WR Josh Downs for the most targets among all pass-catchers, both finishing with nine. The 26-year-old is showing flashes from last season, where he could provide fantasy managers with an incredibly safe floor week in and week out with his high target share. Reports suggest that Richardson isn't likely to miss extended time with his injury, but either way, fantasy managers can put him back into the WR2 range in a favorable Week 5 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught four of his targets for 36 yards in the team's Week 3 win against the Chicago Bears. Pittman has yet to live up to his ADP this season, with the Colts' struggles through the air being the main culprit. He now gears up for a Week 4 matchup when the Colts host the Pittsburgh Steelers, one of the best defensive units in the league thus far. On top of that, Pittman will likely see a ton of coverage from Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr., who has allowed an average of just 28 receiving yards to the WRs he's faced through the first three weeks. Pittman has slowly been climbing down the ranks after his first three performances of the season, and Sunday's matchup might be where fantasy managers look to finally put him on the bench. Pittman doesn't come into this matchup with an incredibly safe floor and carries huge bust potential, given the matchup. He is currently the WR38 in our staff's half-PPR rankings for Week 4.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught four of his five targets for 36 yards in the team's 21-16 win against the Chicago Bears. While Pittman has retained his elite target share in this offense, the team's lack of production through the air has continued to hurt his fantasy production. Pittman led the team in snaps with 47, was tied with WR Alec Pierce for most routes run with 20, and tied with WR Josh Downs for most targets with five. Pittman and the Colts now gear up for a Week 4 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a defense that has allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers in the young season. Given his lack of production thus far paired with a tougher matchup, fantasy managers can view Pittman as a WR3/4 option in Week 4.
