It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to break out the fantasy football flex rankings for Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season. If you’re new to the concept of flex rankings, these are simply the combined overall rankings for running back, wide receiver, and tight end for each week during the fantasy football season. These are not suggestions for who to start in your flex spots.
This list is our initial rankings, but rankings will change a lot throughout the week. This post will not be updates, so if you want all the latest updates, then be sure to check our staff rankings page. Promo code “RATPACK” gets you a discount on any FTN subscription.
Week 8 Flex Rankings (2023) — Top 100
1. Tyreek Hill (WR1) vs. NE – Last week was essentially Hill’s floor.
2. Christian McCaffrey (RB1) vs. CIN – Another week, another two touchdowns for McCaffrey. More importantly, he suffered no setbacks with his oblique injury.
3. Stefon Diggs (WR2) vs. TB – Diggs enters the week fourth in receiving yards (678) and second in receptions (58).
4. Ja’Marr Chase (WR3) at SF – This isn’t a great matchup, but Chase averages 12.2 targets per game this season.
5. Keenan Allen (WR4) vs. CHI – Allen averages the sixth-most receiving yards per game (95.7).
6. Austin Ekeler (RB2) vs. CHI – The Chargers back has been sluggish since returning from injury, but the Bears are a fantastic matchup.
7. Travis Etienne (RB3) at PIT – He leads the NFL in rushing attempts (127) and only Raheem Mostert and Christian McCaffrey have more rushing scores.
8. Alvin Kamara (RB4) at IND – Since returning from suspension, Kamara has racked up 104 touches. That’s in four games.
9. A.J. Brown (WR5) at WAS – The Eagles wideout topped 125 receiving yards in each of his last five games.
10. Travis Kelce (TE1) at DEN – Like a fine wine, Kelce seems to be getting better with age.
11. Tony Pollard (RB5) vs. LAR – Pollard is underperforming expectations, but he’s still tied for seventh in the league with 121 touches.
12. Cooper Kupp (WR6) at DAL – We saw a rare down game from Kupp last week, but that’s no cause for concern.
13. Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR7) vs. LV – He’s topped 100 receiving yards in four of his last five games.
14. Breece Hall (RB6) at NYG – The explosive back finally has the training wheels off and will pick up right where he left off before the bye.
15. CeeDee Lamb (WR8) vs. LAR – Lamb is coming off his second-best performance of the season and should be busy in this one.
16. Kenneth Walker (RB7) vs. CLE – There’s no way around this matchup, but Walker will still see a big workload.
17. Jahmyr Gibbs (RB8) vs. LV – This ranking is subject to change based on David Montgomery’s status.
18. D’Andre Swift (RB9) at WAS – Swift found the end zone in his previous meeting against Washington this season back in Week 4.
19. Isiah Pacheco (RB10) at DEN – He’s more involved in the passing game and gets a fantastic matchup.
20. Saquon Barkley (RB11) vs. NYJ – This isn’t an easy spot for Barkley, but he’s looked very good since returning from injury two weeks ago.
21. Brandon Aiyuk (WR9) vs. CIN – Deebo Samuel is expected to miss another game.
22. Davante Adams (WR10) at DET – The quarterback situation holds Adams back, but he’s still a top-12 fantasy wideout.
23. Raheem Mostert (RB12) vs. NE – Miami’s committee approach at running back puts a slight damper on Mostert’s fantasy outlook.
24. Josh Jacobs (RB13) at DET – Jacobs’ efficiency hasn’t been ideal this season. This matchup is also suboptimal.
25. Bijan Robinson (RB14) at TEN – We still have to see if there are any lingering headaches for Robinson this week.
