Calvin Ridley Basically Unused In Win Over Miami

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley caught one pass for five yards on three targets and gained 10 yards on one rushing attempt in a 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins. It was clear from the get-go that the Titans were going to rely heavily on their ground game, which was even more evident after quarterback Will Levis left the game in the first quarter with a shoulder injury. While it was a massively disappointing fantasy day for Ridley, the Titans simply did not need to throw the ball much at all because of how poor the Dolphins' offense was in this game. Next up is a bye week for the veteran receiver, but after that comes a choice matchup with a very beatable Colts secondary in Week 6. Ridley has been very hard to trust of late, but if the Titans can figure some things out on offense during the bye week Ridley should still be on the fantasy radar as an OK flex option in Week 6.

Calvin Ridley A Risky WR3 In Week 4

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley faces the Miami Dolphins in Week 4. Ridley put up a near-dud last week with only one-catch for nine yards after torching the Jets lockdown secondary a week prior. Through three weeks it's fairly evident that he will be a boom/bust player given the inconsistencies of quarterback Will Levis, along with the emergence of DeAndre Hopkins last week. While Ridley was looking like the clear-cut top option in this passing attack, he took a clear back seat to Hopkins in Week 3 so that is definitely something to monitor. The way to beat Miami is on the ground so it's likely this upcoming game won't feature a ton of passing volume, making Ridley a risky WR3.

Calvin Ridley Held To One Catch In Defeat

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley caught just one pass for nine yards in a 30-14 home loss to Green Bay. After an explosion last week, Ridley was completely taken out of the game on Sunday, receiving only three targets on the afternoon. This volatility might be the norm due to the consistent nature of the Titans' passing attack with quarterback Will Levis throwing the ball, but the low target volume is very odd. It's also worth noting that veteran DeAndre Hopkins finished with a 6-73-1 line and led the team with seven targets, potentially signaling a shift in the alpha status of Titans' pass catchers. Ridley will look to bounce back next Monday night against the Dolphins.
