It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to break out the fantasy football flex rankings for Week 4 of the 2022 NFL season. If you’re new to the concept of flex rankings, these are simply the combined overall rankings for running back, wide receiver, and tight end for each week during the fantasy football season. These are not suggestions for who to start in your flex spots.
This list is our initial rankings, but it will change a lot throughout the week. If you want all the latest updates, then be sure to check our staff rankings page. Promo code “RATPACK” gets you 20% off of any FTN subscription.
Week 4 Flex Rankings (2022) – Top 100
1. Jonathan Taylor vs. TEN (RB1) – His fantasy numbers haven’t necessarily been elite so far, but Taylor remains the cream of the crop among running backs.
2. Christian McCaffrey vs. ARI (RB2) – We saw heavy usage for McCaffrey last week, and that continues in a game where the Panthers are somewhat surprising favorites.
3. Cooper Kupp @SF (WR1) – Even in a game where he didn’t do much as a receiver, Kupp found a way to produce with a rushing touchdown.
4. Saquon Barkley vs. CHI (RB3) – He’s averaging 22 touches per game and gets to face a suspect Bears defense.
5. Stefon Diggs @BAL (WR2) – He’s fantasy’s No. 1 wideout through the first three weeks and is averaging over 11 targets per game.
6. Davante Adams vs. DEN (WR3) – Adams has found pay dirt in each of the Raiders’ first three games this season.
7. Nick Chubb @ATL (RB4) – Chubb enters this week leading the NFL in carries (62) and rushing yards (341).
8. Joe Mixon vs. MIA (RB5) – Keep an eye on Mixon’s status in practice, as he’s dealing with an ankle issue.
9. Ja’Marr Chase vs. MIA (WR4) – The production may not be what you signed up for, but Chase remains a top-flight fantasy option thanks to 35 targets already this season.
10. Austin Ekeler @HOU (RB6) – His usage in the run game hasn’t been optimal, but Ekeler is still getting it done thanks to his usage in the passing game.
11. Justin Jefferson @NO (WR5) – It’s been tough sledding for Jefferson over the past two weeks and things don’t get any easier with Marshon Lattimore on the other side of the field.
12. Tyreek Hill @CIN (WR6) – Hill offers one of the highest fantasy ceilings every time he steps on a football field.
13. Derrick Henry @IND (RB7) – We saw Henry get off the schneid last week, but this Colts run defense is very good.
14. Leonard Fournette vs. KC (RB8) – Only Joe Mixon has racked up more touches than Fournette’s 66 so far this season.
15. Deebo Samuel vs. LAR (WR7) – The first game with Jimmy Garoppolo as the starter wasn’t massive, but Samuel remains in play as a top-10 wideout.
16. Aaron Jones vs. NE (RB9) – Only six running backs have more fantasy points than Jones through the first three weeks of the season.
17. Najee Harris vs. NYJ (RB10) – Running backs are scoring at will against the Jets this season.
18. Amon-Ra St. Brown vs. SEA (WR8) – His ankle issue seems to be OK, but it’s wise to keep an eye on St. Brown’s practice reports.
19. Mark Andrews vs. BUF (TE1) – Andrews leads all tight ends in receptions (22), targets (31), yards (245), touchdowns (3) and, most importantly, fantasy points (64.8).
20. Alvin Kamara vs. MIN (RB11) – Sure, Mark Ingram had the touchdown last week, but Kamara logged 45 snaps to just 21 for Ingram.
21. Jaylen Waddle @CIN (WR9) – Big-play upside abounds with Waddle, as he’s tallied a 40-yard reception in each of his first three games.
22. Dalvin Cook @NO (RB12) – This is a tentative ranking, but Cook does figure to play in the London game with a brace for his ailing shoulder.
23. Michael Pittman vs. TEN (WR10) – Pittman got back on the field last week and saw nine targets from Matt Ryan.
24. Travis Kelce @TB (TE2) – He’s still a stud.
25. Jamaal Williams vs. SEA (RB13) – With D’Andre Swift looking unlikely, Williams slides into fringe-RB1 territory.
26. A.J. Brown vs. JAX (WR11)
27. Mike Evans vs. KC (WR12)
28. Javonte Williams @LV (RB14)
29. Tee Higgins vs. MIA (WR13)

32. James Conner @CAR (RB17)
33. Antonio Gibson @DAL (RB18)
34. Khalil Herbert @NYG (RB19) – This is a tentative ranking for Herbert, assuming David Montgomery doesn’t play. We’ll adjust if Montgomery appears to be trending toward suiting up.

36. Courtland Sutton @LV (WR15)
37. Dameon Pierce vs. LAC (RB20)
38. Jeff Wilson vs. LAR (RB21)

47. Amari Cooper @ATL (WR22)
48. Brandin Cooks vs. LAC (WR23)
49. Keenan Allen @HOU (WR24)
50. Rashod Bateman vs. BUF (WR25) – Last week wasn’t optimal, but Bateman is still dripping with big play upside.
51. DK Metcalf @DET (WR26)
52. Clyde Edwards-Helaire @TB (RB24)
53. Terry McLaurin @DAL (WR27)
54. Michael Thomas vs. MIN (WR28)
55. Ezekiel Elliott vs. WAS (RB25)
56. AJ Dillon vs. NE (RB26)
57. Devin Singletary @BAL (RB29) – The Bills gave Singletary true three-down work last week. If that happens again, he’ll be moving up to RB2 territory, but he remains a flex option for now.
58. Breece Hall @PIT (RB30)
59. DeVonta Smith vs. JAX (WR29)
60. Kareem Hunt @ATL (RB31)

65. Tony Pollard vs. WAS (RB34)
66. Tyler Lockett @DET (WR32)
67. Kyle Pitts vs. CLE (TE3)
68. DJ Moore vs. ARI (WR33) – The Panthers’ inability to move the ball through the air has pushed Moore down into WR3 territory.
69. Garrett Wilson @PIT (WR34)
70. Brandon Aiyuk vs. LAR (WR35)
71. Allen Lazard vs. NE (WR36)
72. George Kittle vs. LAR (TE4)
73. Damien Harris @GB (RB35)
74. Elijah Moore @PIT (WR37)
75. Melvin Gordon @LV (RB36)

78. Michael Carter @PIT (RB38)
79. JuJu Smith-Schuster @TB (WR39)
80. Darren Waller vs. DEN (TE5)
81. Adam Thielen @NO (WR40)
82. Romeo Doubs vs. NE (WR41) – The rookie is trending up after last week, but he needs to put together more than just one game to be trusted as anything more than a flex option.

85. Jahan Dotson @DAL (WR44)
