It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to break out the fantasy football flex rankings for Week 5 of the 2022 NFL season. If you’re new to the concept of flex rankings, these are simply the combined overall rankings for running back, wide receiver, and tight end for each week during the fantasy football season. These are not suggestions for who to start in your flex spots.

This list is our initial rankings, but it will change a lot throughout the week. If you want all the latest updates, then be sure to check our staff rankings page. Promo code “RATPACK” gets you 20% off of any FTN subscription.

Week 5 Flex Rankings (2022) – Top 100

1. Cooper Kupp vs. DAL (WR1) Matthew Stafford may be struggling to generate fantasy points, but it hasn’t affected Kupp’s production.

2. Saquon Barkley @GB (RB1) – Barkley is sitting on 99 touches entering this week and is set up for another massive workload.

3. Stefon Diggs vs. PIT (WR2) – He’s second among wideouts in receiving yards (406) and is one of just two receivers to score four times already on the season.

4. Nick Chubb vs. LAC (RB2) – Only Jamaal Williams has more rushing touchdowns than Chubb on the season.

5. Justin Jefferson vs. CHI (WR3) – We got our bounceback game last week, and Jefferson figures to steamroll a suspect Bears secondary.

6. Austin Ekeler @CLE (RB3) – He’s racked up 27 catches already, eight more than the second-most receptions among running backs.

7. Christian McCaffrey vs. SF (RB4) – Of course, second place among running backs in catches belongs to McCaffrey, who is coming off a big day as a pass catcher in Week 4.

8. Derrick Henry @WAS (RB5) – He’s been a monster in each of the last two weeks and gets a favorable one here.

9. Tyreek Hill @NYJ (WR4) – No Tua Tagovailoa? No problem for Hill, who gets a favorable matchup against the Jets.

10. Ja’Marr Chase @BAL (WR5) – It hasn’t been a massive fantasy season for Chase just yet, but he is averaging over 10 targets per game.

11. Travis Kelce vs. LV (TE1) – He’s a stud and we all know it.

12. Davante Adams @KC (WR6) – Adams is coming off a high-volume game last week and should see another big workload in what could be a shootout.

13. Deebo Samuel @CAR (WR7) – He posted one of the catches of the season last week and figures to eat again in this one.

14. Joe Mixon @BAL (RB6) – He’s tied for the league-lead in touches with Saquon Barkley.

15. Dalvin Cook vs. CHI (RB7) – Cook is still dealing with a shoulder issue, but he played through it last week and gets a plus matchup in this one.

16. Aaron Jones vs. NYG (RB8) – While he’s only seen 60 touches on the seasons, Jones has been very efficient, ranking 10th among running backs in fantasy scoring.

17. Leonard Fournette vs. ATL (RB9)Rachaad White’s usage increased last week, but Fournette remains in the RB1 conversation for this divisional matchup.

18. Amon-Ra St. Brown @NE (WR8) – St. Brown missed last week, so keep an eye on his status.

19. A.J. Brown @ARI (WR9) – Despite only scoring one touchdown on the season, Brown ranks ninth among wideouts in fantasy scoring.

20. Mark Andrews vs. CIN (TE2) – Andrews remains locked in as an elite fantasy option.

Mike Evans Week 5 Fantasy Football Flex Rankings

21. Mike Evans vs. ATL (WR10) – Evans has 30 touchdown receptions from Tom Brady since the start of the 2020 season.

22. Jamaal Williams @NE (RB10) D’Andre Swift doesn’t figure to play, and Williams has proven to be an RB1 when in the lead for the Lions.

23. Tee Higgins @BAL (WR11) – Higgins can go off in any given week.

24. James Robinson vs. HOU (RB11) – He wasn’t a good play last week, but this is a fantastic matchup for Robinson.

25. Jaylen Waddle @NYJ (WR12) – Last week wasn’t optimal for Waddle, but we’re going to go back to the well in a plus matchup.

60. Kareem Hunt vs. LAC (RB30)

Michael Thomas Week 5 Fantasy Football Flex Rankings

61. Michael Thomas vs. SEA (WR29)

83. Zach Ertz vs. PHI (TE7)

84. Tony Pollard @LAR (RB37)

85. JuJu Smith-Schuster vs. LV (WR41)

88. Darrell Henderson vs. DAL (RB39)

89. Robert Woods @WAS (WR42)

90. Elijah Moore vs. MIA (WR43)

91. Corey Davis vs. MIA (WR44) – Davis was Zach Wilson’s preferred target last week, but it’s tough to trust any of the Jets wideouts until we see a bit more of Wilson under center.
