As we head into Week 7 of the fantasy football season, lineups need to be set, and with that comes some tough decisions. Start/sit decisions are some of the biggest calls fantasy managers make each week.
One of the most popular tools here at FTN is our fantasy football rankings. Each week, we bring you non-PPR, PPR and half-PPR rankings to help you win your league.
Throughout the season, I will break down what players our FTN rankers prefer more (or less) than the expert consensus rankings at FantasyPros. For this article, I will be looking at the half-PPR format.
Both FTN and the ECR are fairly aligned within the top eight at quarterback, though our FTN crew is higher on Tua Tagovailoa in his return this week.
It has been a tough year thus far for Aaron Rodgers, and our FTN crew believes this continues as they have him outside the top 12 this week while the ECR has him as a starter.
Derek Carr and Geno Smith are two players our FTN crew is a bit lower on than the ECR.
The largest discrepancy between the ECR and FTN is with Travis Etienne, who the FTN crew has four spots higher.
Tyler Allgeier is another player with a four-spot difference, but this time the ECR is higher on him this week than our FTN crew.
Within the top 15 there are quite a few differences between the ECR and our FTN rankers. One of these is with Leonard Fournette, who FTN has two spots higher than the ECR and a top-five option this week.
On the flip side, Nick Chubb, Rhamondre Stevenson, Christian McCaffrey and Kenneth Walker are all players who are FTN crew is lower on than the ECR. (McCaffrey’s ranking is likely to move wildly everywhere heading into the weekend as rankers decide how to handle him in San Francisco.)
Jakobi Meyers has the largest discrepancy between our FTN crew and the ECR, as we have him as a top-24 option this week while the ECR has him as a WR3.
Mike Williams is a player who the FTN crew has ranked significantly lower than the ECR this week.
Both Diontae Johnson and Chris Godwin are two players who are FTN crew is significantly higher on this week than the ECR as we have him four spots higher than the ECR.
Cortland Sutton and Terry McLaurin are two players who are FTN crew are quite a bit lower on than the ECR as we have them three spots lower.
