It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to break out the fantasy football flex rankings for Week 3 of the 2023 NFL season. If you’re new to the concept of flex rankings, these are simply the combined overall rankings for running back, wide receiver, and tight end for each week during the fantasy football season. These are not suggestions for who to start in your flex spots.

This list is our initial rankings, but rankings will change a lot throughout the week. This post will not be updates, so if you want all the latest updates, then be sure to check our staff rankings page. Promo code “RATPACK” gets you a discount on any FTN subscription.

Week 3 Flex Rankings (2023) – Top 100

1. Christian McCaffrey (RB1) vs. NYG – He’s been the best back in football over the first two weeks of the season.

2. Justin Jefferson (WR1) vs. LAC – Despite not scoring a touchdown so far this season, Jefferson still ranks third among wideouts in fantasy scoring.

3. Tyreek Hill (WR2) vs. DEN – Hill is an elite play even if he draws a Pat Surtain shadow.

4. Tony Pollard (RB2) at ARI – This is a fantastic matchup for Pollard, as the Cardinals have allowed three scores to running backs over the first two weeks.

5. Bijan Robinson (RB3) at DET – He’s fantastic and is cemented in as a top-five play against the Lions.

6. CeeDee Lamb (WR3) at ARI – Like Pollard, Lamb will benefit from this matchup.

7. Travis Etienne (RB4) vs. HOU – The Texans are the worst run defense in the league, which is great news if you have Etienne.

8. Josh Jacobs (RB5) vs. PIT – This may seem bullish, but we’ve seen the 49ers and Browns absolutely torch the Steelers on the ground this season.

9. Travis Kelce (TE1) vs. CHI – He got through last week without a setback and is right back in elite fantasy territory.

10. Derrick Henry (RB6) at CLE – Henry continues to see a heavy workload as a runner, but he’s also fifth among running backs in receiving yards.

11. Kenneth Walker (RB7) vs. CAR – Walker scored twice last week and gets a favorable matchup against the Panthers.

12. Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR4) vs. ATL – He’s seen 18 targets on the season and will continue to be busy this week.

13. Stefon Diggs (WR5) at WAS – Diggs enters the week third among wideouts in receptions with 17.

14. Joe Mixon (RB8) vs. LAR – With Joe Burrow’s status up in the air, the Bengals could look to lean a bit more on Mixon this week.

15. Keenan Allen (WR6) at MIN – He’s coming off a massive Week 2 performance and gets a tasty matchup.

16. Jahmyr Gibbs (RB9) vs. ATL – With David Montgomery banged up, Gibbs should see a slight uptick in his workload.

17. Kyren Williams (RB10) at CIN – Yep. He’s officially an RB1 option after his hot start to the season.

18. A.J. Brown (WR7) at TB – Brown hasn’t been an elite fantasy option so far, but he remains the Eagles top pass catcher.

19. Ja’Marr Chase (WR8) vs. LARJoe Burrow’s injury status puts a damper on Chase’s Week 3 prospects.

20. Davante Adams (WR9) vs. PIT – Adams is in concussion protocol, so keep an eye on his status.

21. Rhamondre Stevenson (RB11) at NYJ – This is a tough matchup for Stevenson, but he’ll see enough work to remain in the backend RB1 conversation.

22. Deebo Samuel (WR10) vs. NYG – He’s coming off a big Week 3 and could get a little extra run with Brandon Aiyuk banged up.

23. Calvin Ridley (WR11) vs. HOU – It’s already been up and down for Ridley, but this is a good spot to use him as a back-end WR1.

24. Raheem Mostert (RB12) vs. DEN – Mostert is coming off a big Week 2 and will be busy against a Broncos defense that just gave up a big day to Brian Robinson.

25. James Cook (RB13) at WAS – No, he isn’t getting goal line work, but Cook still topped 20 touches last week and looked very good in the process.
