Let’s start with some key takeaways from the first two rounds.
It’s tough to ignore the top five quarterbacks being the first off the board. Exactly as I have it, and as expected with such a sharp room. Landing a top-five pick in your superflex or 2QB drafts is ideal. You draft an elite cornerstone, the most important position in football. This shouldn’t require much explanation, but this group is largely composed of rushing quarterbacks on great offenses who can throw, with Joe Burrow being the notable exception.

We all know the value of rushing quarterbacks in fantasy football, but Burrow belongs in this group even though he isn’t going to contribute on the ground. The Bengals offense is absolutely electric, backed by arguably the best pass-catching duo in the NFL. More importantly, the Bengals’ defense is lackluster, and the team is likely to be involved in extremely high-scoring games. While Chase Brown is a solid runner, his real contribution is through the air. Burrow is my favorite to lead the league in passing yards in 2025.
The rest of the first round features the usual suspects, except for Brock Bowers. I do not consider this a reach, as Bowers is likely to give you an edge at tight end against every team that doesn’t roster Trey McBride on a weekly basis. I’ve mentioned it before, but Bowers has a real shot at breaking fantasy football in TE-Premium leagues.
Looping around to the second round, you see the rest of that second tier of wide receivers come off the board fast, as expected. This is a full PPR mock after all. I think Malik Nabers belongs in the same tier as Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase, but that’s an argument for another day.
Bo Nix is an interesting one, taken by FTN’s very own LaQuan Jones. But I get it. He finished QB9 last year as a rookie, and the arrow is only pointing up. QB7 is well within the range of outcomes.
Some may think Ashton Jeanty slipped a bit here to fall to 2.07, but with it being full PPR, I am more than fine with it. There is a notable drop in tier from Brian Thomas Jr. to Nico Collins, and starting with Jahmyr Gibbs and Jeanty in redraft feels damn good.
Bucky Irving is a bit of a reach here. According to my rankings, I have multiple players ahead of him, including three other running backs still available.
Roster Builds
Let us now take some time to break down some of the teams and their chosen builds.
Team 1
Pick | Player | Pos. | Team |
1.01 | Lamar Jackson | QB | BAL |
2.12 | Nico Collins | WR | HOU |
3.01 | Drake London | WR | ATL |
4.12 | George Kittle | TE | SF |
5.01 | Mike Evans | WR | TB |
6.12 | RJ Harvey | RB | DEN |
7.01 | DK Metcalf | WR | PIT |
8.12 | Geno Smith | QB | LV |
9.01 | Isiah Pacheco | RB | KC |
10.12 | Dalton Kincaid | TE | BUF |
It may be because it’s the first team on the board, but we have to address this extreme Zero-RB approach that Team 1 took. While I can certainly agree that things are looking promising for RJ Harvey out of the gate, there is no guarantee he will be a true bell cow right away. While you can certainly take some swings in the back half of your drafts to compensate for this, it’s a very dangerous build in your typical redraft league. Isiah Pacheco may be fine, but I think he could have taken a look at Chase Brown or James Cook in the fifth round instead of Mike Evans.
I thought Team 1’s draft started extremely strong out of the gate. I love the Lamar Jackson at the 1.01 and wrapping around with two stud wide receivers in Nico Collins and Drake London had Team 1 looking fierce. I even loved the George Kittle pick in the fourth round, as I do expect the 49ers to pass a bit more this season, with Kittle being a focal point. As a longtime Kittle truther, I have always maintained that while he may be a bit inconsistent, down weeks are what you get from streaming the position, but his boom weeks can single-handedly win you your week, especially in TEP. Grabbing Chase Brown after Kittle would have really set Team 1 up to smash.
Team 6
Pick | Player | Pos. | Team |
1.06 | Jahmyr Gibbs | RB | DET |
2.07 | Ashton Jeanty | RB | LV |
3.06 | Baker Mayfield | QB | TB |
4.07 | Justin Fields | QB | NYJ |
5.06 | DJ Moore | WR | CHI |
6.07 | DeVonta Smith | WR | PHI |
7.06 | Jameson Williams | WR | DET |
8.07 | Emeka Egbuka | WR | TB |
9.06 | Mark Andrews | TE | BAL |
10.07 | Najee Harris | RB | LAC |
Pivoting over to one of my favorite teams in this draft, Team 6. Drafting Jahmyr Gibbs as the No. 1 overall running back may be bold, but let’s not forget he finished last season as the overall RB1 in PPR and played the majority of the season splitting reps with David Montgomery In 2025, the Lions face one of the toughest schedules in the entire NFL and have lost their offensive wizard of an OC, Ben Johnson The Lions will still have success, but they may need to A) pass the ball more and B) lean on their more talented back to win games.

I bet Team 6 was hoping Jeanty would go ahead of his second-round pick and they would be able to land a top wide receiver, but as I stated, double-tapping two elite RBs in redraft certainly isn’t an issue. What shines here is taking Baker Mayfield, who just finished the season as QB4, and is poised to land in the top 10 again, and then Justin Fields. While Fields’ ability to win as a real-life quarterback is certainly in question, he has always been a star in the fantasy football arena. Team 6 could have easily grabbed two top-12 quarterbacks in Rounds 3 and 4 while starting Gibbs and Jeanty.
But wait, it gets better. While there isn’t likely a top-12 WR on this roster, he could easily have grabbed three top-20 wide receivers in DJ Moore, DeVonta Smith and Jameson Williams, with a lottery ticket on rookie Emeka Egbuka. He closes things out with Mark Andrews in the ninth round in a tight-end premium league. That’s a steal.
Team 10
Pick | Player | Pos. | Team |
1.10 | Saquon Barkley | RB | PHI |
2.03 | CeeDee Lamb | WR | DAL |
3.10 | Garrett Wilson | WR | NYJ |
4.03 | Drake Maye | QB | NE |
5.10 | TreVeyon Henderson | RB | NE |
6.03 | Trevor Lawrence | WR | JAC |
7.10 | Jordan Addison | WR | MIN |
8.03 | Chris Godwin | WR | TB |
9.10 | Travis Kelce | TE | KC |
10.03 | Jayden Reed | WR | GB |
My other favorite team has to be Team 10. Similar to Team 6, he selected a top-end running back in Saquon Barkley in the first round and a veteran but likely solid tight end in Travis Kelce in the ninth. Frankly, Saquon at 10 overall in redraft might be the steal of this draft.
He also elected to grab two quarterbacks in the mid-rounds who have serious upside. Drake Maye and Trevor Lawrence are two quarterbacks who are both being taken as mid-range quarterbacks but present serious upside. With Maye, although he didn’t play the full year in 2024, in the games where he started or saw over 80% of the snaps, he finished as QB16. That’s not nothing considering the circumstances. Now with real investment around him, upgrades on the line, better receivers and a coaching staff that’s trying, I’m betting on a Patriots offense that takes a step forward. And I think Maye leads that charge.
While he hasn’t been bad, Lawrence has disappointed considering the hype. Now with a young, offensive-minded head coach leading the way with college football’s best wide receiver in Travis Hunter joining sophomore phenom Brian Thomas Jr., Lawrence is in a prime spot to repeat a top-10 quarterback finish like he did in 2022.
The wide receiver group is incredibly solid with CeeDee Lamb leading the way and Garrett Wilson, Jordan Addison and Chris Godwin rounding it out, and he grabbed one of my favorite rookies in TreVeyon Henderson, who I think is all but a lock to lead the Patriots in touches in 2025.
Team 12
Pick | Player | Pos. | Team |
1.12 | Patrick Mahomes | QB | KC |
2.01 | Malik Nabers | WR | NYG |
3.12 | Breece Hall | RB | NYJ |
4.01 | Jaxon Smith-Njigba | WR | SEA |
5.12 | Davante Adams | WR | LAR |
6.01 | Kenneth Walker III | RB | SEA |
7.12 | Jaylen Waddle | WR | MIA |
8.01 | Matthew Stafford | QB | LAR |
9.12 | Evan Engram | TE | DEN |
10.01 | Jakobi Meyers | WR | LV |
Let’s close things out with my draft as I can at least walk you through pick by pick to share my thoughts and process.
Patrick Mahomes is my QB6; he finished 2024 as the QB11 in what we can all agree was a down year. Before that, he never finished outside the top eight as a full-time starter. With a healthy and more seasoned set of pass catchers, I fully expect him to return to form, and I wasn’t going to wait until the 3.12 to grab my first QB with Mahomes on the board.

Malik Nabers is my WR3 and sits in Tier 1 behind Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase, no brainer.
I am a huge Breece Hall believer, and he was my top running back left on the board. I considered double tapping the running backs here and grabbing Jonathan Taylor as well, but ultimately opted to pair Jaxon Smith-Njigba with Nabers as a powerful 1-2 punch at the wide receiver position, JSN was my top wide receiver left on the board.
Davante Adams sitting at 5.12 was way too juicy for me to pass up. Matthew Stafford is a kingmaker, and Adams has it after finishing the 2024 season as the WR12. Adams rounds out what I believe to be the best wide receiver trio in this draft — three wide receivers with legit top-12 upside.
Kenneth Walker III was a no-brainer for me as my RB2, as was Jaylen Waddle as my WR4, as it’s quite easy for me to paint a bounceback story. It hinges on Tua Tagovailoa’s health, but I fear many folks have forgotten Waddle finished in the top 13 as a rookie and sophomore. Folks, he is good.
I completed a fun little Rams stack with Stafford as my QB2, his better days are behind him, but a top-18 finish feels like a lock with both Puka Nacua and Adams.
I closed out the draft with Evan Engram as my tight end. I was really hoping to see Andrews or Kelce here, but I am certainly not upset about it. I’m more than fine rolling into a season with Engram as my tight end. Tight ends have a pretty good track record on Sean Payton’s offense, and Engram is older but far from washed.
I likely should have gone with a third running back instead of Jakobi Meyers, but I wanted to plant a flag — he’s one of the more undervalued wideouts in full PPR.
