Seattle Mariners shortstop Dylan Moore is not in Friday's lineup for the Mariners' clash against the Toronto Blue Jays. This appears to be a platoon matchup decision as Luke Raley will be playing in right field alongside Randy Arozarena and Julio Rodriguez. Moore has fared far worse against righties this season (.604 OPS) compared to lefties (1.553 OPS) while Raley succeeds far more against righties. Fantasy managers shouldn't stress much about a platoon situation, though, as Moore still has been getting starts against right-handers intermittently. The 32-year-old may not be in the lineup tomorrow against Jose Berrios but he should certainly be in the lineup Sunday against southpaw Easton Lucas.

Detroit Tigers outfielder Parker Meadows (arm) has been officially cleared to begin a throwing program according to the team. In addition to the throwing program, the team announced he has been working on completing conditioning, defensive drills and has been progressing with hitting daily. The 25-year-old was placed on the 60-day IL in March due to a nerve issue in his throwing arm. He's not expected to return to action until May at the earliest. In his absence, expect Zach McKinstry to continue to get the lion's share of playing time. McKinstry has posted up a 124 OPS+ on the short season, making him a strong target for fantasy managers and DFS players alike.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Chandler Simpson was called up to the major league squad on Friday. Richie Palacios (finger) was added to the 10-day injured list to make room on the roster. Simpson is Tampa Bay's No. 7 prospect per MLB Pipeline and has been making his mark in the minor leagues with his speed, stealing 104 bases in 110 games last season in both A+ and Double-A last season. The 24-year-old also slashed .355/.410/.397 in the minors last season, mainly compiling those stats through singles. At Triple-A Durham this season he's posted an OPS of .654 with a .301 BA. Fantasy managers should add Simpson to their rosters ASAP, though he shouldn't be added to starting lineups quite yet. When on base he should be able to rack up value through steals, but playing time will be questionable to start for the youngster.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker hit the go-ahead HR while going three-for-five with two RBI in the Cubs' 13-11 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tucker added on two runs to his box score and is now hitting for a 1.055 OPS. Acquired over the offseason through trade, the 28-year-old is proving he can continue what he was doing in Houston and is providing the Cubs with a ton of value. His 21 RBI now rank third overall in the majors, giving both Cubs fans and fantasy owners plenty of faith in the lefty when he's at the plate. His next chance to continue to fill box scores will be Saturday against DBacks starter Zac Gallen. Tucker is 5-15 with two doubles and a walk against Gallen, making him a solid target for fantasy managers and DFS players on Saturday.

Chicago Cubs catcher Carson Kelly hit two home runs while collecting five RBI in Chicago's 13-11 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday afternoon. The first was a two-run shot off DBacks' starter Corbin Burnes to put the Cubs up 2-0. The second was a three-run shot off Bryce Jarvis that started a six-run eighth inning for Chicago. The 30-year-old now has six HR on the season after his monster game against his former team. His 1.675 OPS may start to earn him more playing time, potentially taking away from Miguel Amaya who's having a strong start to the season as well. Kelly's next chance to do more damage will be Saturday against scheduled DBacks starter Merrill Kelly.
