Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe (finger) will be out of the starting lineup for the second straight day on the road in Texas against the division-rival Rangers on Wednesday. O'Hoppe began to feel ill during an off day on Monday and will miss the first two games of the series at Globe Life Field. There's a good chance he'll be back behind the dish for Thursday's series finale against the Rangers. The 25-year-old backstop has been a must-start catcher in fantasy in the early going, batting .333 (16-for-48) with five home runs, nine RBI and seven runs scored in his first 13 games of 2025. Travis d'Arnaud will do the catching again on Wednesday and will hit fifth against Rangers left-hander Patrick Corbin. Although d'Arnaud has gone just 2-for-22 at the plate this year, he's worth a look in DFS thanks to a .444 career average against Corbin in 18 at-bats.

Athletics shortstop Jacob Wilson is not in the team's starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox in Chicago. Rookie Max Muncy will take his place at shortstop and will hit ninth against White Sox right-hander Jonathan Cannon. This will be Wilson's first day off of the 2025 season. The 23-year-old prospect and former sixth overall pick in 2023 out of Grand Canyon University has lived up to expectations so far this and entered Wednesday's action slashing .333/.333/.485 with an .818 OPS, two homers, eight RBI and 11 runs scored for fantasy managers. Expect him to be back in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the White Sox. Muncy, another first-rounder, has been a bit overmatched at the plate in his first 16 MLB games, going 10-for-54 (.185) with a homer, four doubles, four RBI, on walk and 16 strikeouts. He should be avoided as a DFS play in the nine-hole.

Colorado Rockies outfielder Zac Veen is not in Wednesday's lineup when the Rockies continue a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Veen has been in the starting nine in each of the first eight games since getting the call to the big leagues. During his first taste of the majors, the 23-year-old has held an underwhelming .107/.167/.143 slash line with one double. Instead, the Rockies will give Sean Bouchard the starting nod in left field. He will bat in the eight-hole. Fantasy managers should expect Veen to return to the starting nine on Friday when they start a series against the Washington Nationals. Even though Veen has had a slow start to his MLB career, he should continue to be stashed in deeper category formats given his speed upside.

Atlanta Braves catching prospect Drake Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a home run during Wednesday's loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. This was Baldwin's first career MLB home run. He would hit the home run off Toronto closer Jeff Hoffman in the ninth inning. Baldwin opened the season as the team's primary backstop with Sean Murphy (rib) on the injured list. However, with Murphy back in action, Baldwin has fallen back to the No. 2 spot. Despite his limited playing time as of late, the 24-year-old has been heating up at the plate. Entering Wednesday's game, Baldwin held a strong .400/.471/.533 slash line over his last four contests. Fantasy managers in two-catcher formats should continue to hold the Missouri State product as he will still hold value given his emerging bat.

Texas Rangers utility man Josh Smith (thumb) is out of the starting lineup for the second straight day on Wednesday as the team continues their series against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels. Dustin Harris will make the start in left field and will hit sixth against Angels right-hander Jose Soriano. It doesn't sound like Smith's injury is very serious, so there's a chance he could be back in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Angels. With Wyatt Langford (oblique) on the injured list, the 27-year-old utility man had been seeing action in left field for the Rangers. Smith has been excellent at the plate, going 13-for-38 (.342) with a homer, three RBI, three steals and eight runs scored. He lacks power but makes plenty of contact and is useful in deeper fantasy leagues for his positional versatility. Harris will be playing in just his sixth big-league game on Wednesday.
