Logan O'Hoppe Officially Returning on Wednesday

Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe (head) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees. O'Hoppe will return to the lineup after missing one game due to a minor head injury. The young catcher was forced to exit early on Monday after getting hit in the head by a backswing. The 25-year-old appears to be fine now and will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth versus right-hander Clarke Schmidt on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups and get O'Hoppe in there ahead of first pitch.

Logan O'Hoppe Expected to Start on Wednesday

Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe (head) cleared all concussion tests and is expected to return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest against the visiting New York Yankees, according to the Orange County Register's Jeff Fletcher. O'Hoppe was pulled from Monday's series opener against the Yanks when he took a backswing to the head in the eighth inning. The 25-year-old didn't start Tuesday's loss but came in to pinch hit. Fantasy managers will want to check back for the Halos' official lineup later on Wednesday, but O'Hoppe is expected to start against Yankees right-hander Clarke Schmidt, who he has gone hitless against in just one career at-bat. O'Hoppe is one of the most valuable catchers in fantasy and ranks second in homers (14), fourth in RBI (30), tied for eighth in runs scored (20) and fifth in batting average (.265) at the position.

Logan O'Hoppe Sitting Out on Tuesday

Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe (head) will remain on the bench ahead of Tuesday's game against the New York Yankees. O'Hoppe make an early exit on Monday after being hit in the head by a backswing. It doesn't sound like O'Hoppe suffered a concussion, so for now fantasy managers should consider him as day-to-day. Angels' manager Ron Washington said he pulled out O'Hoppe as a precaution, so hopefully it'll only be a one-game absence. In the meantime, Travis d'Arnaud will be behind the plate and bat fifth versus left-hander Carlos Rodon on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should check back on Wednesday for another update on O'Hoppe.
