Alex Bregman Collects Five Hits, Four RBI Tuesday

Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman had an excellent game before heading for paternity leave in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rays. Bregman went 5-for-5 with two singles, a double, a pair of solo home runs, and four RBI. The 31-year-old lined a third-inning Ryan Pepiot pitch over the right-field wall and later took Hunter Bigge deep to right-center field in the seventh inning. Bregman has had a stellar start to his Red Sox tenure after signing a three-year, $120 million deal this offseason, slashing .321/.365/.564 with four HR, 16 RBI, and a stolen base in 85 plate appearances. The Red Sox's offense has been erratic overall, but Bregman should have plenty of opportunities to provide fantasy value while hitting third in the lineup.

Hunter Brown's Quality-Start Streak Continues Tuesday

Houston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown continued his excellent string of starts in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Cardinals. Brown pitched six innings, allowing four hits and two walks with four strikeouts. The 26-year-old has turned in a quality start in each of his first four starts, going 2-1 with a 1.50 ERA, a 0.83 WHIP, and an 8.25 K/9 rate over 24 IP. Brown put together a solid 2024 campaign after an erratic 2023 and seems to have taken another step forward to start 2025. He will look to continue his quality start streak in his next scheduled matchup, which will be a middling one against the Blue Jays.

Dylan Moore Homers Twice, Drives In Four On Tuesday

Seattle Mariners second baseman Dylan Moore turned in a big game in an 8-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. Moore went 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in the loss to Cincinnati. The veteran infielder provided all the offense for the Mariners, leading off the game with a homer against Reds starter Nick Lodolo and then blasting a two-run shot off Lodolo in the fifth. Moore is off to a good start in 2025, hitting .306 with four homers, eight runs, six RBI, and two steals across 36 at-bats. He is worth starting in deeper fantasy leagues while he's swinging a hot bat.

Austin Hays Homers, Drives In Four On Tuesday

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Austin Hays turned in a big game in an 8-4 win over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday. In his debut with the Reds, Hays went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI to help spark Cincinnati to the win over Seattle. Hays strained his left calf during Spring Training and had spent all of the early portion of the regular season on the injured list before getting activated ahead of Tuesday's game. He made a good first impression as he blasted a three-run homer off Seattle starter Luis M. Castillo in the fifth inning. Hays is worth monitoring in fantasy moving forward.

Tyler Mahle Strikes Out Nine Over Six Shutout Innings

Texas Rangers right-hander Tyler Mahle was dominant in a 4-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Mahle threw six shutout innings while allowing two hits, walking three, and striking out nine to improve his record to 3-0 on the season. The veteran hurler was on top of his game in the start, picking up 18 swinging strikes against the Angels. Mahle has been excellent to start the year for the Rangers, posting a 0.92 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts over 19 2/3 innings of work. He will be put to the test in his next start, however, as he is slated to face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday.
