The Philadelphia Phillies announced on Tuesday that infielder/outfielder Weston Wilson's (oblique) minor-league rehab assignment has been moved to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Wilson began the 2025 season on the injured list due to a strained left oblique that he suffered in spring training, but the 30-year-old veteran is progressing on his rehab assignment and should be an option for the big-league roster as outfield depth before the end of April. In four rehab games to this point with Single-A Clearwater, he has just one hit in 10 at-bats with a stolen base, four walks and three runs scored over 14 plate appearances. Wilson was scheduled to play nine innings at second base on Tuesday at Lehigh Valley before most likely seeing action in the outfield later this week. In 40 games with the Phils in 2024, Wilson hit .284/.347/.489 with an .836 OPS, three homers, 10 RBI and three steals in 98 plate appearances.

The Cincinnati Reds announced on Tuesday that they optioned infielder Noelvi Marte to Triple-A Louisville. Marte was one of the odd men out with infielder Matt McLain (hamstring) and outfielder Austin Hays (calf) both returning from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. Marte was brought up to Cincy as infield depth when McLain landed on the injured list, but the 23-year-old only appeared in three games and went 1-for-6 at the plate with a steal, two runs scored, and a walk in seven plate appearances. He'll now head back to the farm and bide his time there before eventually getting another shot in the big leagues with the Reds at some point this year. Marte was suspended 80 games last year, and when he returned, he really struggled at the plate. He has an intriguing power-speed combination, but he's facing an uphill battle for playing time in the majors.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman continued his strong start to the season in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Braves. Gausman pitched six innings, allowing two runs on six hits (including two solo home runs) and no walks with six strikeouts. The 34-year-old has looked great after a relatively disappointing 2024, going 2-1 with three quality starts, a 2.49 ERA, a 0.71 WHIP, and a 7.11 K/9 rate in four starts and 25 1/3 IP. The strikeout numbers are still down, but fantasy managers will likely take that tradeoff for the stellar ERA and WHIP. Gausman will face a decent matchup in his next scheduled start, which will be at the Astros.

New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez had a productive game at the plate in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Royals. Dominguez went 3-for-3 with two singles, a double, and three RBI. The 22-year-old has had a solid start to the season offensively, slashing .275/.362/.431 with one home run, eight RBI, and two stolen bases in 58 plate appearances. There are some potentially worrisome signs for Dominguez, such as his dreadful .050 batting average against left-handed pitchers and his bottom-five percentile average exit velocity. However, the Martian carries a ton of pedigree and has produced respectable overall numbers, so fantasy managers can be cautiously optimistic at this point.

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Jake Irvin put forth his best start of the early season in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Pirates. Irvin pitched seven innings, allowing three hits and a walk with six strikeouts. The 28-year-old had been uninspiring before this start, and his season totals now sit at a 1-0 record with a 3.91 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP, and a 7.04 K/9 rate in four starts and 23 IP. Irvin will draw a tough start in his next scheduled matchup, having to face the Rockies in Coors Field. Irvin has provided fringy fantasy value at best this season, so the unfavorable environment makes him an easy sit decision for his next start.
