Kevin Gausman Goes Eight Strong Innings

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman has been extremely solid on the mound over his last two starts. On Monday, Gausman tossed eight innings, allowing one earned run on six hits, while striking out six batters in the win. The right-hander has been showing great command lately as he hasn't walked a batter in four straight starts. Gausman has struck out six batters or more in three straight appearances. He made easy work of the Texas Rangers on Monday and will look to keep the good times rolling against the A's in his next start.

Kevin Gausman Excellent in Victory Over Padres

Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman (4-4) helped lead the Jays to a 14-0 rout over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. Gausman tossed seven shutout innings, allowed just three hits, and finished with nine strikeouts and no walks en route to his fourth victory of the season. Gausman had a poor start in his previous outing and has mixed a few clunkers this year, but his results have been solid on the whole. The 34-year-old has pitched to a sturdy 4.03 ERA with 55:12 K:BB across 58 innings, and the minuscule 0.98 WHIP he carried into Wednesday's start ranks among the majors' best. Gausman's next scheduled start is on the road Monday against the Texas Rangers, whose offense has sputtered this year.

Kevin Gausman Looks Excellent In No-Decision

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman had seemingly no issues on the mound during Saturday's start against the Cleveland Guardians. The right-hander gave up one hit and a walk, but was basically perfect outside of that. Gausman tossed six scoreless innings while striking out nine batters in what ended up being a no-decision. Well, Gausman certainly earned the win in this one, but sadly his bullpen blew it for him in the final innings. It is unfortunate for him, but fantasy managers will still take a strong outing by Gausman. He'll take a 3.83 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 37/12 K/BB ratio into his next start versus the Seattle Mariners.
