Moses Brown Back On Friday Evening

Portland Trail Blazers center Moses Brown (wrist) will play on Friday night versus Memphis. The 24-year-old broke his wrist during a meeting with the Suns on New Year's Day and hasn't been active since then. Before Brown went down with the ailment, he had played sparingly, so his return isn't expected to make much of an impact for fantasy managers, even with Deandre Ayton (hand) absent.

Moses Brown Has A Chance To Return On Friday

Portland Trail Blazers center Moses Brown (wrist) is officially questionable for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, which could potentially be his first game back since Jan. 1 after suffering a fractured wrist. In the last four games that he did appear in, he was a starter but didn't get any more than 15 minutes in any of them. If Brown does suit up, it's unclear how he'd fit into the rotation just yet. Duop Reath has stepped up as a serviceable backup big, and Deandre Ayton remains the starting center. Fantasy managers may want to hold off on picking Brown up until his minute situation is figured out moving forward.

Moses Brown Set For Wrist Surgery

The Portland Trail Blazers announced on Monday that further advanced imaging on center Moses Brown's (wrist) injured left wrist demonstrated a non-displaced fracture of his scaphoid. Surgery is planned for this week, and a timeline for a return will be determined once the procedure is completed. It's rough timing for the Blazers, who continue to be without starting big man Deandre Ayton (knee). Portland is going to need Jerami Grant to handle more playing time at the five for the time being, while Duop Reath is representing the most popular waiver-wire add in Yahoo fantasy leagues on Monday. In eight games without Ayton this season, Reath is supplying 12.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.8 three-pointers per game and dropped a 15-point, 13-board double-double in 41 minutes during Sunday's road win over the Brooklyn Nets.
