PGA DFS Hot Takes for the 2025 Zurich Classic

No course fit model, no rostership projections, no simulations. We’re flying blind this week at the Zurich Classic, but that’s OK, because the Zurich requires a bit more golf-specific thought than data analysis. For example, we want to find pairings whose games complement one another well. We want to find players whose mental games will be boosted by having a partner (you’re less likely to be a sourpuss when someone other than yourself is also counting on you). And of course, we want to find guys who are more talented than their results so far this year.

1. Keith Mitchell with a partner is dangerous

I don’t think any player in golf over the last few years has hurt himself more between the ears than Keith Mitchell. He gets down on himself too quickly and is clearly feeling the pressure of not being able to come through on Sundays when in contention. Having JT Poston as his partner, whose game also complements Keith’s perfectly (Keith hits it close, JT makes the putt), could do wonders for him. I really like their chances this week.
