Kyrie Irving "On Course" For Training Camp

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (hand) remains "on course" to be ready for the start of training camp. The multi-time All-Star had a stellar year in 2023-24, averaging 25.6 points, 5.2 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. He also shot 41.1% from deep, one of the best marks of his career. Unfortunately, he suffered a broken left hand while training and underwent surgery in mid-July. While the addition of Klay Thompson might cause Irving to see few scoring opportunities, he could remain a potent fantasy producer for at least a few more seasons moving forward, assuming he can stay healthy and out of trouble.

Kyrie Irving Limited To 15 Points In Game 5 Loss

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving managed only 15 points on 5-for-16 shooting in Monday's 106-88 Game 5 loss against Boston. The Mavericks offense struggled right from the off, and Irving was forced to watch his former team celebrate the championship in the end. He was 3-for-9 with the three-ball and picked up three rebounds, nine assists, and one steal. Irving was fantastic in the Conference Finals against Minnesota, but very little went his way in his fourth NBA Finals series. The veteran star, who is now 1-3 in the Finals, averaged 19.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists with 27.8 shooting from behind the arc against Boston.

Kyrie Irving Puts Up 35 Points In Losing Effort

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 35 points on 13-for-28 shooting in Wednesday's Game 3 loss to Boston. After amassing only 28 points across the first two games of the Finals, Irving had by far his best performance of the series, but the Mavericks still couldn't get a win on the board. Irving's efforts included a 4-for-6 record with the three-ball, three rebounds, and two assists. Dallas is now in huge trouble, as no team in NBA history has managed to win a playoff series from a 3-0 deficit. The team will be facing elimination in Game 4 on Friday, and we can expect to see Irving put in a big effort to help the team extend the series.
