Week 10 of the NFL season starts with an NFC matchup between the Panthers and Bears. Chicago was hoping that quarterback Justin Fields would return, but it appears that is a longshot. The Panthers are looking for their first NFC win, while the Bears are looking for their third win in the past six games after an 0-4 start.
Each week, I will select my favorite prop bets on the Thursday Night Slate. You can find all our Week 6 player projections here at FTNBets. Let’s take a look at my favorite prop for Week 10’s Thursday might matchup!
Week 10 Player Prop
Chuba Hubbard Over 15.5 Receiving Yards
(+100, PointsBet)
Chuba Hubbard has overtaken Miles Sanders as the lead running back in Carolina, with 50 carries over the past three weeks. Hubbard is also a better receiving back, and is coming off a six-targets game last week against Indianapolis.
Hubbard’s four receptions only totaled nine yards, but his usage is critical in a conservative Carolina offense. Per our FTNFantasy QB Stats, Young ranks dead-last in yards per attempts for quarterbacks with at least 100 pass attempts. His 5.5 yards per attempt is worse than Daniel Jones and Joshua Dobbs.
The Bears allow the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing running backs, including the most receiving yards (578) of any team this season. Chicago’s 64.2 receiving yards per game to opposing running backs is also significantly more on a per-game basis than the second most generous team, the Chargers (53.3). The Bears have allowed the second-most RB targets (70) and third-most RB receptions (55).
Thursday games tend to be sloppy and low-scoring, but that shouldn’t prevent Carolina’s preferred passing game RB from cresting this receiving yardage number at plus-money. We project Hubbard for 23.6 receiving yards, equating to a 7.6% edge on this number.
