Mason Rudolph Could Return To Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph is set to become a free agent this season. The former third-round pick from 2018 could very well end up right back in Pittsburgh. Recently, Steelers general manager Nick Khan said they want to bring back Rudolph next season. It sounds like the organization still has full faith in Kenny Pickett under center. However, they want to bring in some competition in case Pickett fails to claim the starting gig. Rudolph knows the system well and led the team to a 3-0 record this past season. The Steelers even started Rudolph during their playoff game versus the Buffalo Bills. The 28-year-old isn't going to save the franchise. Although, Rudolph could be a bridge option for the team if Pickett doesn't work out.

Titans Still Believe In Will Levis As Their Starter

According to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, the Tennessee Titans still believe in quarterback Will Levis as their starter, and one of their top priorities this offseason is getting him receivers. It remains to be seen if general manager Ran Carthon drafts one of the top three wideouts -- Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, or Rome Odunze -- at No. 7 overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. The Titans could also use an NFL-high $75 million-plus in salary cap space to go after a top veteran in free agency. They could also do both to help support Levis. The 24-year-old had an up-and-down first year in the NFL in 2023 with 1,808 passing yards, eight TDs and four picks in nine starts, but now he has an offensive-minded head coach in Brian Callahan and should get some shiny new receiving weapons to boost his fantasy upside this offseason.

Jaguars Want To Re-Sign Calvin Ridley

Sports Illustrated's John Shipley writes that the Jacksonville Jaguars want to re-sign impending unrestricted free-agent wide receiver Calvin Ridley this offseason, and there are plenty of reasons to think that Ridley wants to return as well. Ridley will be the top receiver on the market for several teams, so it won't be easy for Jacksonville to bring him back. Meanwhile, Shipley doesn't expect Jamal Agnew to return after being a valuable piece for the team the last three years. Ridley, 29, was suspended for all of 2022 due to gambling and returned in 2023 to catch 76 passes for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns in 17 games. If he sticks around in Jaguars for a second straight season, he could improve on his numbers from a year ago with more chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Cowboys Not Expected To Use Franchise Tag On Tony Pollard

The Dallas Cowboys are not expected to use the franchise tag on impending free-agent running back Tony Pollard this year at a cost of $12.109 million, according to sources. The Cowboys gave Pollard lead-back duties in 2023, and he responded with 1,005 rushing yards on 252 attempts (career-low 4.0 yards per carry) with six touchdowns while adding a career-high 55 receptions for 311 yards and no TDs through the air in 17 regular-season contests. Pollard looked better late in the season and wasn't really himself for most of the year after recovering from a significant leg injury in 2022. The 26-year-old's fantasy value for the 2024 season will depend on where he's playing, but Pollard didn't do much to show other clubs that he can be trusted as a workhorse back.

Jaguars Plan To Bring Back Calvin Ridley

The Jacksonville Jaguars plan to re-sign impending free-agent wide receiver Calvin Ridley this offseason. However, per terms of their 2022 trade with the Atlanta Falcons to acquire Ridley, their third-round pick due to Atlanta turns into a second-rounder if the Jaguars extend Ridley's contract. It means that the Jaguars need to wait until after the new league year begins in March to avoid giving up a second-rounder, because at that point any deal would be a free-agent signing and not an extension. It will also give Ridley time to talk to other teams during the negotiating window, unless he and Jacksonville work out a loose agreement and wait. The 29-year-old had 1,016 receiving yards on 76 receptions and eight touchdowns as the team's No. 1 wideout in 2023 and would most likely be most valuable in fantasy if he stayed with the Jaguars.
