Darius Slayton Scores For The Third Straight Game

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton continued his impressive run at the end of the 2023 season, adding five catches for 62 yards and a touchdown to his season-long totals. It's the third straight game in which Slayton has found paydirt. All those touchdowns came from the arm of veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor. With Taylor under center, Slayton became a consistent, dependable fantasy football wide receiver. He finishes the season as the team leader for receiving yards. It's abundantly clear to anyone who has watched a Giants game this season that there's a big need for elite wide receivers. Slayton should be back for Big Blue next season, but he may not maintain his alpha role.

Jalin Hyatt Done For Week 18

New York Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt (hamstring) exited during the first half of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. At the time of his departure, he had caught one of two targets for just five yards. It was a somewhat underwhelming campaign for the rookie as he failed to emerge as a top pass-catching option. He ultimately finishes the season with 23 catches, 373 receiving yards, and zero receiving touchdowns. New York will surely add reinforcements at wide receiver this offseason, creating a lack of clarity around Hyatt's role heading into 2024.

Tyrod Taylor Injured Sunday, Replaced By Tommy DeVito

New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor (thumb) exited during the first half of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles and is officially questionable to return. He was replaced by rookie Tommy Devito, who returns under center after totaling 1,087 passing yards, nine total touchdowns, and three interceptions from Weeks 8 through 16. At this point, it's too early to tell whether Taylor will be able to return, but it's worth noting that the injury was to the thumb on his throwing hand. Therefore, if he does re-enter the contest, he'll likely have to play through pain.

Zach Pascal Suiting Up Versus Seahawks

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zach Pascal (hamstring) is officially active for Week 18 versus the Seattle Seahawks. He had been listed as questionable but was trending in the right direction after logging limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Nevertheless, he has caught just four passes for 19 yards this season and remains off the fantasy radar. Look for rookie Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch to operate as the Cardinals' top wide receivers while tight end Trey McBride and running back James Conner also handle key pass-catching roles.

Devin Singletary Scores Game-Winning Touchdown In Week 18

Houston Texans running back Devin Singletary capped off a solid regular season in the team's 23-19 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 18. Singletary continued working as the Texans' top running back on Saturday, which included carrying the ball 24 times for 63 yards and one touchdown. No other Houston running back touched the ball on offense in the game. The veteran was also key in the Texans' victory after he scored the game-winning touchdown on a three-yard score late in the contest. The touchdown helped send Houston back to the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
