Bills Rule Out Gabe Davis For Wild-Card Game

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has ruled out wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) and safety Taylor Rapp (calf) for Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Davis suffered a knee injury in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and is now being forced to sit out of the first playoff game in Buffalo. It remains to be seen if the 24-year-old would be available next week if the Bills advance to the Divisional Round. In Davis' absence, it will mean more work for Stefon Diggs and Khalil Shakir, while Trent Sherfield should also see an increase in role as Buffalo's No. 3. Tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox (illness) could see more targets in the passing game, too, albeit in a game that is expected to have inclement weather conditions.

Gabe Davis Picks Up Another DNP

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) was listed as a non-participant for the second straight day at practice on Thursday. Fellow wideout Stefon Diggs said on Thursday that the team is trying to "win for (Gabe Davis) so he has something to play for when he can come back," which seems to insinuate that Davis won't be ready to play in Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24-year-old suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and is certainly trending in the wrong direction for wild-card weekend. Fantasy managers in DFS contests will want to avoid him for now, while Khalil Shakir would become much more attractive as a low-cost sleeper if Davis is unable to gain clearance to play.

Gabe Davis Won't Practice Wednesday

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) won't take part in the team's light walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Davis suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 18 regular season finale win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night and is now in question to play in Sunday's wild-card playoff contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the 24-year-old's injury isn't considered major, so he could be active this weekend if he's able to practice on Thursday and Friday. If he plays, Davis will be a low-cost, boom-or-bust DFS play against Pittsburgh. He had three 100-yard games and seven touchdowns in 17 games for the Bills in 2023, but he also disappeared plenty of times, going under 50 yards in 10 contests, including five games with zero catches.

Parker Washington Has One Catch As Jaguars' Season Ends

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Parker Washington finished his first season in the NFL on Sunday with just one catch for an 11-yard gain in the 28-20 upset loss to the Tennessee Titans in the Week 18 regular season finale. In nine total games, the sixth-rounder from Penn State caught just 16 passes on 21 targets for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Washington played just once in the first 10 weeks of the season. He caught eight passes on nine targets for 88 yards and two touchdowns right after Christian Kirk suffered a core muscle injury that landed him on Injured Reserve. It looked like the 21-year-old would have a bigger role down the stretch, but he ended up with only eight catches on 14 targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the final four contests. He should return as extra receiver depth for the Jags in 2024.

Gabe Davis Diagnosed With PCL Sprain

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) exited the Week 18 division-clinching win over the Miami Dolphins due to a knee injury. He did not return, and he has now been diagnosed with a PCL sprain, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The injury is not viewed as a long-term one, and he has not been ruled out of the Wild Card contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. DFS gamers and playoff-league fantasy managers will need to check back for status updates moving forward, but it sounds like he could play on Sunday. If Davis can't play, Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid should see extra targets.
