Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) will be limited during OTAs this offseason, but the former No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft said he is optimistic he will be full-go for training camp. Lawrence underwent offseason shoulder surgery to fix a left AC joint sprain. He missed seven games last season due to shoulder and head injuries, limiting him to 2,045 passing yards and 11 passing touchdowns. The Jaguars are in the middle of a soft roster rebuild under new general manager James Gladstone and head coach Liam Coen. Brian Thomas Jr. looks like the clear WR1 of the future, but the team will need to address the WR2 and TE spots after moving on from Christian Kirk and Evan Engram following the 2025 campaign. Lawrence is unlikely to have QB1 upside in fantasy football next season.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen recently told SiriusXM NFL Radio that he plans to aid quarterback Trevor Lawrence through the team's scheme and an improved run game in 2025. The new head coach intends to give his QB the "answers to the test." "Obviously, once we get into the building, some of the football aspects: the formations, the motions, the shifts," Coen said. "But for us to help him truly...man, we've got to be able to run the football a little bit better." Jacksonville has been in the bottom third of the league regarding yards on the ground per game over the last two seasons, and Lawrence hasn't been able to overcome the team's deficits on his own merit. It's possible all he needs is the right head coach, and Coen's offense in Tampa Bay was impressive in 2024 -- ranking fourth in points (29) and third in yards (393.2) per game. The Clemson product will be a cheap pick in drafts this summer.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager James Gladstone said new wide receiver Dyami Brown has untapped potential, and new head coach Liam Coen thinks having a speedy player like Brown opposite of Brian Thomas Jr. will pay dividends in 2025. "You look at somebody that's able to attack the field at all three levels. He can go down the field on the post, in the go, in the pylons and be the top shelf, but also you can throw him a screen and he can go and do something with it. I can't coach that," Coen said. Most of the damage Brown did last year came in the playoffs, as he caught 14 passes on 18 targets for 229 yards and a touchdown in three games while going for a 30-308-1 line in 16 regular-season games (three starts). The 25-year-old former second-rounder probably won't see a ton of targets behind Thomas, but he could be a sleeper to target in deeper fantasy leagues as the Jags look to replace a lot of production from the departures of Christian Kirk and Evan Engram.

The Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to terms with free-agent quarterback Nick Mullens on Monday on a two-year, $6.5 million deal with $3 million guaranteed, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Mullens will be the new backup to Trevor Lawrence in head coach Liam Coen's first year in Duvall. The 29-year-old Mullens will reunite with new Jaguars assistant coach Grant Udinski after the two worked together with the Minnesota Vikings. Mullens spent the last three years in Minnesota, appearing in 13 games (three starts) while throwing for 1,568 yards, eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. He only appeared in four games in relief last year with Sam Darnold having a career year. Mullens will provide veteran backup depth behind Lawrence, though, having appeared in 33 games (20 starts) in his seven years in the NFL with Minnesota, San Francisco and Cleveland.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms on a one-year, $10 million contract worth up to $12 million with former Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. The 2021 third-round pick out of North Carolina caught fewer than 15 passes and posted fewer than 200 years in each of his first three NFL seasons, but he emerged in 2024 in his final season with Washington. Brown posted 30 receptions for 308 yards and one touchdown during the regular season before tallying 14 receptions for 229 yards and a score in three postseason games. He's now headed to Duval County to catch passes from Trevor Lawrence, but his fantasy football upside is likely limited behind Brian Thomas Jr. The team will likely look to add more pass-catchers this offseason after letting Christian Kirk and Evan Engram go.
