Brooklyn Nets guard Dennis Schroder (Achilles) won't play on Friday against the Knicks. The veteran has played well since getting moved to Brooklyn. However, the team has nothing left to play for, so Schroder may be done for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign. With Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) also out, Jacob Gilyard (hip) could slide into the starting lineup if he's cleared to play. But the offense should continue to run through Cam Thomas and Mikal Bridges regardless of who's at the one.

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The big man was able to play 31 minutes during Thursday's loss. It appears Duren picked up a minor back injury in the process. If he sits, James Wiseman figures to move into the starting five and get increased playing time. He'll have low-end streaming appeal if Duren is out.

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (knee) is listed as doubtful ahead of Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. Cunningham has missed each of the last five games due to a left knee injury. The expectation is that the Pistons are going to take the cautious approach and hold out Cunningham. If he sits, Marcus Sasser figures to continue being the primary point guard for this team. He's coming off a strong 20-point performance and is an interesting streaming option until Cunningham returns.

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (knee) won't be available for Thursday's matchup against Chicago. He will miss a fifth consecutive contest after initially being considered questionable for the game. Malachi Flynn and Marcus Sasser have an opportunity to play bigger roles in the rotation without Cunningham, while Jaden Ivey gets a usage boost. He has pushed his numbers to 20.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in games played without Cunningham this season.

Detroit Pistons forward Simone Fontecchio (toe) has been ruled out for a 13th straight game on Thursday versus Chicago. He's been knocked out of the lineup by a toe contusion, and it's beginning to look like we have seen the last of the Italian in 2023-24. Detroit has two more games scheduled following Thursday. Chimezie Metu has received a big workload on the Pistons frontcourt lately, while the team is also giving extended looks to Troy Brown Jr., Jared Rhoden, and Tosan Evbuomwan. The rotation has been very unpredictable, with Evan Fournier even popping up against Philadelphia on Tuesday to produce 21 points in 26 minutes.
