The Detroit Pistonsannounced onThursday that guard Jaden Ivey (lower leg) has moved to weight-bearing strengthening exercises, running progression activity and stationary shooting. Ivey's recovery progress will be updated in another four weeks. The 24-year-old underwent surgery after breaking his left fibula on January 1st. Barring any setbacks while recovering, he could potentially be good to go for the playoffs. With Ivey still out, fantasy managers can expect 22-year-old Ausar Thompson to remain a starter.

The Detroit Pistons announced guardJaden Ivey(leg) underwent successful surgery to repair a broken fibula in his left leg. According to Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site, he will be re-evaluated in four weeks. The 22-year-old was having an excellent season withCade Cunninghamin the Pistons backcourt, averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 29.9 minutes per game. Until Ivey can step on the floor again, the Pistons will rely upon Ausar Thompson, Marcus Sasser, Tim Hardaway, and Malik Beasley to help in their backcourt.

Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey will miss at least most of the remainder of the regular season after sustaining a broken fibula in his left leg, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. The third-year guard was having an exceptional season alongside Cade Cunningham in the Pistons backcourt, averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 29.9 minutes per game with a 26.6% usage rate. The former Boilermaker had only missed three games all season before Wednesday's injury, and in those games, Malik Beasley stepped into an expanded role while Cunningham's usage also rose. Ivey's injury will also open up playing time for Ausar Thompson, who is ramping up to a larger workload after a delayed start to the season.
