San Francisco Giants second baseman Tyler Fitzgerald was scratched from Saturday's game against the Rangers with a chest contusion. The injury happened when attempting to make a diving play on a ground ball during Friday's contest, but he remained in the game, so consider him day-to-day for now. The 27-year-old is off to a good start to the year, slashing .289/.341/.447 with seven extra-base hits (two HR), seven RBI, 13 runs scored, and five stolen bases, along with a .347 wOBA and 123 wRC+. Fantasy managers should continue to use the former fourth-round draft pick once he returns to the lineup; in the meantime, Christian Koss will fill in at second base and bat eighth on Saturday.

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Blake Snell (shoulder) recently was shut down from throwing after experiencing discomfort in his shoulder. The southpaw underwent an MRI, but it didn't reveal anything new. That being said, the Dodgers plan to give Snell an injection to hopefully calm down the inflammation in his shoulder. After that, Snell will begin a throwing program before possibly doing a few rehab starts. It sounds like Snell has avoided any major injuries. His timetable to return is unclear, but the hope is that he'll return at some point in May.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski had a big day in a 6-5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. Yastrzemski went 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk, two runs, and two RBI to help power the Giants to the one-run win over Milwaukee. The veteran outfielder launched a solo homer to right field in the third inning to tie the game at 2-2. Yastrzemski is now hitting .280 with four homers, 12 runs, 13 RBI, and two stolen bases across 71 at-bats this season. He will look to stay hot as the Giants open up a weekend series against the Texas Rangers starting Friday.

San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Ryan Walker has been struggling over the last few outings. Walker allowed only one earned run over his first eight innings of the season. Now, Walker has allowed six earned runs in 0.2 innings over his last two outings. Camilo Doval has earned the last three saves for San Francisco, while Walker got a break. However, manager Bob Melvin said that Walker is going to come into the game if the Giants have a save chance on Friday. Fantasy managers should continue to hold Walker in the hopes that this was just a few bad outings. It would also be smart for fantasy managers who picked up Doval to keep him for a little longer.
