With the transition out of NFL draft season and into rookie draft season, this is likely the hottest time of year for trading in your dynasty leagues. You do not want to miss out on this window, especially if you’re looking to move picks for veterans — picks are never worth more than the moment they hit the clock.
Dynasty Moves to Make: Sells
De’Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins

I know, I know. Sell the RB6 in dynasty, coming off a 17-game season as the PPR RB5, with very little obvious competition on the depth chart?? Yes. If you can. Here’s the deal. The 5-foot-9, 188-pound Dolphins running back did play a full 17 games last year … and shouldered 281 total touches (78 were receptions). How sustainable is that? Well, only one other RB under 190 pounds has topped 200 touches in a season since 2000: Warrick Dunn. Not 280 touches, not 250 touches. Just 200. Which means Achane is either an upgraded Warrick Dunn, or his 2024 was something of a fluke. Notably, Tyreek Hill (123) and Jaylen Waddle (83) both saw an oddly reduced target total, and I’d expect that pendulum to swing back a bit in 2025.
But more importantly, Miami should not (and likely does not) want Achane touching the ball that often. The odds that he’ll stay healthy if he does are astronomically low. Instead, they should look to offload a good chunk of his between-the-tackles carries to a prototypically sized back — like, say, free agent signing Alexander Mattison or sixth-round draft pick Ollie Gordon II. Following Raheem Mostert‘s departure, Miami has restocked the RB room to ensure they have options outside of Achane. And don’t get me wrong, he’ll still be extremely productive for fantasy, likely in the RB1 conversation on the regular. But if he sees just a 15% dip in touches, that would drop him from the top five to RB9 or RB10. You might be able to sell him straight up for the 1.01 (and I’d much rather have Ashton Jeanty), but if not, you could tier down to an undervalued back like Kenneth Walker III and pick up a chunk of assets on top.
Assets I’d trade Achane for: Rookie pick 1.01 or 1.02, Multiple late Round 1/early Round 2 rookie picks
