Garrett Crochet Punches Out Nine To Earn Fourth Win

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Garrett Crochet pitched seven innings of one-run ball in Saturday's 10-1 win over the Kansas City Royals. The former first-round pick allowed seven hits and walked one, while striking out nine batters. Just one of the knocks against him went for extra bases (double) as he fired in 75 of 106 pitches for strikes, bolstering an excellent 29% CSW (18 whiffs). The lone tally against him came in the third inning when Royals left-fielder Mark Canha singled in teammate Bobby Witt Jr. Crochet has been superb to start 2025, holding a 1.93 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with a 65:21 K:BB ratio across nine starts (56 innings). He'll carry a 4-2 record into his next outing, which projects to come against the Atlanta Braves at home late next week.

Corey Seager Tallies Three Extra-Base Hits, Two Homers In Return To Lineup

Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager went 3-for-4 with a double and two home runs in his team's 10-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers. The former first-round pick drove in three runs and also scored twice. He had missed the last two games with a mild hamstring injury but didn't appear to be hampered by it, blasting his fifth and sixth long balls of the year. Each of the 31-year-old's hits exceeded 100 MPH in exit velocity, and it was the second multi-homer effort in 26 games for him. Seager has at least one hit in all but two of his last 14 appearances -- going back to before his stint on the IL. Over that stretch, he's batting a blistering .375 (21-for-56) with 11 runs scored, nine RBI, and seven extra-base hits (four doubles, three homers). If he can stay healthy, he should again be among the best shortstops in fantasy.

Andre Pallante Nabs Third Victory

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Andre Pallante allowed five hits and two earned runs over 7 2/3 innings in Saturday's 4-2 win against the Washington Nationals. The 26-year-old walked none and set a new season-high with seven punchouts, earning his third victory in eight starts (3-2). Pallante stymied the Nationals through seven innings, but ran into trouble in the bottom of the eighth when Jose Tena singled and Dylan Crews sent him home two batters later with a 396-foot bomb over the left field wall. It's a nice rebound for him after giving up four runs and allowing four walks (nine hits) in his last time out against the New York Mets. He's already given up four runs thrice, but three or fewer in his other five appearances. Pallante's inconsistencies make him a shaky start more often than not, but he'll have a decent chance to get back in the win column the next time he toes the rubber, a road outing against the Kansas City Royals.

Corbin Burnes Goes Seven Scoreless Innings In Win Over Dodgers

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Corbin Burnes struck out five batters over seven scoreless innings in Saturday's 3-0 home win against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The righty allowed five hits and issued two free passes while landing 58 of 91 pitches for strikes (12 whiffs) in his return to the rotation. Burnes had dealt with shoulder inflammation that caused Arizona to skip his last turn, but a cortisone injection had him feeling much better. While the California native has done a good job of limiting damage against him this season (2.95 ERA), he hasn't nearly pitched up to the level that we've come to expect. Burnes is sporting career-highs in hard-hit percentage (50.5%) and average exit velocity (91.0 MPH) while affording batters a .275 xBA thus far. It's encouraging that he pitched well against the Dodgers, but a 5.34 xERA is a cause for concern (4.39 xFIP).

Aaron Judge Blasts Two More Homers

New York Yankees designated hitter Aaron Judge went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in his team's 11-7 loss to the Athletics. The fantasy stalwart's power binge continued on Saturday, as he launched long balls No. 13 and No. 14 on the season. Though he's slowed down in recent days, Judge is on an absolute tear at the dish. After hitting just one HR from Apr. 5 to Apr. 26, the 33-year-old has crushed an astonishing seven no-doubters in his last 12 appearances. He's come back to Earth slightly, hitting "only" .396 with a ludicrous 1.258 OPS. In 39 games this season, the superstar slugger has put together a multi-hit performance in 18 of them (60%). At this point, the superlatives to describe his excellence are running thin.
