Marquis Grissom Jr. Notches Fifth Save At Double-A

Washington Nationals pitching prospect Marquis Grissom Jr. picked up his fifth save of the season for Double-A Harrisburg on Thursday despite allowing a run on one hit and a walk. The righty struck out two batters in the appearance as well. The five saves are the second-most in all the minor leagues, and the 6-foot-2 hurler owns a 2.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and a 3:8 BB:K in eight-and-two-thirds innings pitched. A strong showing between High-A and Double-A last season catapulted him into the Nationals' top 30 prospects to No. 23, and continued success should push him up to Triple-A before long. MLB.com's Top Prospects list has an ETA of 2025 for Grissom, and with Washington's bullpen producing the worst ERA and WHIP in all of baseball, it's not a stretch to think he could be an asset in the majors this season. His fantasy relevance is likely limited to leagues that reward holds, though, unless Kyle Finnegan were to falter.

Felix Bautista Records Third Save

Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Felix Bautista secured his third save of the season in a 2-1 victory over the Nationals on Thursday. He gave up one hit and struck out one. Outside of allowing two runs on March 31, his six other appearances have all been scoreless. His ERA is now down to 2.57 as he looks to return to form as one of the best relievers in baseball. His eight strikeouts and six walks on the year aren't quite up to par with the 110:26 K:BB he posted in 2023, but he appears locked in as Baltimore's closer moving forward.

Salvador Perez Notches Four Doubles, Four RBI In Thursday's Doubleheader

Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez had a big day in his team's Thursday doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies. Perez combined to go 5-for-8 with four doubles, one walk, three runs, and four RBI as the Royals swept the doubleheader against Colorado. The veteran catcher is now hitting .220 with eight doubles, two homers, eight runs, and 14 RBI across 100 at-bats in 2025. He got off to a slow start this season but hopefully his big day on Thursday will get his bat going for fantasy gamers.

Jordan Beck Homers Three Times On Thursday

Colorado Rockies outfielder Jordan Beck had a big day in a Thursday doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals. Across both games of the doubleheader, Beck combined to go 3-for-6 with three homers, a walk, three runs, and three RBI. Beck was one of the few bright spots on the day as the Rockies dropped both games of the doubleheader. The 24-year-old outfielder is now hitting .250 with three homers, seven runs, seven RBI, and three steals across 36 at-bats in 2025. Beck will look to stay hot as the Rockies open up a weekend series against the Cincinnati Reds.

Pete Fairbanks Picks Up Fourth Save On Thursday

Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Pete Fairbanks tossed a scoreless 10th inning to secure a 7-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. Fairbanks walked one and struck out one while throwing 15 pitches to pick up his fourth save in as many chances this season. The veteran closer has been a reliable reliever for the Rays this season, posting a 2-1 record, 2.89 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and nine strikeouts over 9 1/3 innings of work. He will look to convert more save chances as the Rays open up a weekend series against the San Diego Padres starting Friday.
