Rockies Recall Jordan Beck

The Colorado Rockies recalled outfield prospect Jordan Beck from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday and placed first baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant (back) on the 10-day injured list with a back strain in a corresponding move. Beck, the Rockies' No. 3 prospect per MLB Pipeline, will be in his second stint with the Rockies this year. The 23-year-old former 38th overall pick in 2022 out of Tennessee struggled in his first stint with the big-league club earlier this year, going just 15-for-79 (.190) with two homers, eight RBI, two steals and 30 strikeouts in 81 plate appearances. He is not in Monday's starting lineup against the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks but will provide depth for the Rockies' outfield with Bryant out again. Beck also missed considerable time in the minors with a fractured left hand but has hit .319/.402/.558 with a .960 OPS with eight homers, 35 RBI and six steals in 39 games for the Isotopes.

Jordan Beck Has Four-Hit Night At Triple-A

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Jordan Beck went 4-for-5 on Tuesday night for Triple-A Albuquerque for his third straight multi-hit outing. The 23-year-old raised his Triple-A slash line to .310/.398/.556. Beck got a taste of the majors this season, hitting .190 in 27 games with two homers and eight RBI. The Rockies' No. 3 prospect could earn another shot in the big leagues with his recent performance at Triple-A. He could be worth a look as a waiver-wire addition if he gets the call-up back to Coors Field.

Jordan Beck Hits Homer In Triple-A Rehab Game

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Jordan Beck (hand) hit a home run for Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday night. It was the second homer of rehab assignment after returning from a broken left hand. The Rockies' No. 3 prospect has two homers and eight RBI with Colorado in 79 at-bats. He has hit .313 with six homers and 30 RBI for Albuquerque this season. The 23-year-old has 55-grade power and speed, making him an intriguing fantasy option given that he plays his home games at Coors Field. He is worth monitoring to see how he performs in his eventual return to the Rockies.
