Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried made his first start since July 11 on Sunday, but didn't have his usual stuff and took the loss in a 7-0 defeat against the Miami Marlins. Fried allowed five runs on four hits and a whopping five walks in 3 IP. He did manage to strike out six, but it was hardly a consolation prize for him or fantasy managers. The lefty was dealing with forearm neuritis before coming into this start, and whether that is still affecting him or he is just rust is up for debate. Either way, fantasy managers should sit Fried until he shows he is startable again.

Houston Astros starting pitcher Spencer Arrighetti had a stellar performance on Sunday, striking out 12 over six one-run innings against the Tampa Bay Rays. He allowed just five hits and two walks. Unfortunately, he took the loss as the Astros were unable to generate any offense. Arrighetti has shown flashes of brilliance in his rookie season, but his lack of control and tendency to get hit hard when things aren't working have his season numbers looking pretty rough. If he can figure it out in the future, his upside is sky-high. For this year though, he should probably only be used as a streamer in favorable matchups or when strikeouts are a big need.

San Diego Padres starting pitcher Matt Waldron had a solid start on Sunday, tossing 5 innings of one-run ball in a 10-2 defeat of the Colorado Rockies. Waldron struck out seven while allowing just two hits and two walks. He had his knuckleball working in this one, tossing it 44% of the time while picking up five whiffs and allowing an average exit velocity of just 74.7 mph against it. The knuckler seems to be the key for Waldron, as he is usually sharp when it's working well and bad when it isn't. Overall, the 27-year-old has a decent 3.79 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 116 strikeouts over 128 IP. He's a decent streamer option in standard-size leagues and a solid rotation piece in deeper ones.

Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Sunday, leading the O's to a 9-5 win over the Cleveland Guardians. Henderson also scored three times. The 23-year-old has been sensational for most of the season, but July was a bit mediocre as Henderson had a .751 OPS and managed only two homers. He has gotten off to a hot start in August though, and fantasy managers should have no worries about him being one of the premiere shortstops in the league. If he wants to stay in the MVP race with Bobby Witt Jr. and Aaron Judge, though, he'll have to get back to where he was early in the season.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran did it all on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, and two stolen bases in a 7-2 win over the Texas Rangers. Duran added a walk, a run scored, and two RBI to round out his stellar line. It's just another great performance from one of the breakout players of the season, who now has a robust .296/.355/.515 slash line with 78 runs, 14 homers, 55 RBI, and 26 steals. Those totals make him one of the best five-category contributors in the league, and he was a waiver-wire pickup in most leagues. If you have Duran, savor this excellent campaign.
