Atlanta Braves starting pitching prospect Cade Kuehler is being promoted to High-A Rome, according to MiLB Central. Kuehler joined the Atlanta organization as the 70th overall pick in last year's MLB Draft. Kuehler got a small seven-inning taste of Single-A ball last season and allowed just one hit with a 4:8 BB:K ratio. The Campbell University product remained with Single-A Augusta to open the 2024 campaign and held a strong 2.52 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and a 20:44 BB:K ratio through 50 innings. After posting a poor 4.82 ERA and 1.71 WHIP through May, the 22-year-old responded well in June where he held a stellar 0.90 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across four starts. Kuehler is ranked as the eighth-best prospect in a deep Atlanta pitching farm and is projected to reach the majors in 2026.

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Seth Lugo turned in another excellent effort in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Marlins. Lugo pitched six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. The 34-year-old emerged as a surprise fantasy starter last season and has been even better in 2024, going 10-2 with a 2.29 ERA, a 7.77 K/9 rate, and a 2.13 BB/9 rate in 17 starts and 110 IP. The veteran has been a fantasy steal and All-Star, considering he was drafted outside the top 250 picks on average coming into the season. He will face a tough test against the Guardians in his next start, but he has simply been too good to sit.

Houston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown continued his string of strong starts in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rockies. Brown pitched six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and three walks with seven strikeouts. The 25-year-old had a poor start to the season, but he has now turned in seven consecutive quality starts. His overall record sits at 5-5 with a 4.37 ERA, a 9.97 K/9 rate, and a 3.59 BB/9 rate in 15 starts and 80 1/3 IP. His recent performance is encouraging for fantasy managers, as are his 3.44 xERA and 3.64 SIERA. Brown should have a chance to further extend his streak in his next start, which will be at the slumping Blue Jays.

Miami Marlins closer Tanner Scott picked up his 10th save of the season in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Royals. Scott came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by one. He got the first out on a fly-out, allowed a single, and got the final two outs on a line-out and a ground-out. The 29-year-old has converted all but two save opportunities with a 1.59 ERA and a 9.26 K/9 rate in 34 innings of work. However, walks have returned as a big issue, as Scott has a 6.09 BB/9 rate. Additionally, he has not seen as many save opportunities as higher-end closers because of the Marlins' poor performance. His fantasy value may be limited, but he should continue to be a useful fantasy option in roto leagues.

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge continued what has been another excellent season in Tuesday's 9-7 slugfest loss to the Mets. Judge went 2-for-3 with a double, a grand slam, and a walk. He was also hit by a pitch. Judge attempted to fuel a late comeback, sneaking an eighth-inning Reed Garrett fastball just over the center-field fence to put the Yankees behind by two. The 32-year-old is putting together a stellar offensive season, slashing .304/.428/.700 with 29 HR, 60 runs scored, 75 RBI, and five stolen bases. He is currently leading baseball in HR and RBI and is fourth in runs scored. Judge is proving once again that he is a top overall fantasy option.
