NBA Best Bets of the Day (12/28)

Another big night of action in the association. Wednesday is always a large slate of NBA games, so this is nothing new. We have a few edges in our FTN Bets NBA model that might be worth playing, and my favorites are listed below.

We also saw a few edges in the initial run of our FTN Bets Player Prop Model. Injury news has the books a little gun shy on posting props for some of these games, but you can always check out the FTN NBA Bet Tracker for those when they are added. Here are four of my NBA best bets for Wednesday.

Best NBA Spread Bet Today

Wizards +2.5

(-110, PointsBet)

The Wizards are at home, taking on a Suns team playing the third road game in four days after taking a win in Memphis Tuesday. Devin Booker remains out for the Suns. Bradley Beal is questionable for the Wizards too, so they also have some injury issues. Even if Beal is out, I like Washington as a home dog facing a Suns team on the tail end of a road back-to-back.

Best NBA Rebound Prop Bet Today

Ben Simmons Over 6.5 Rebounds

(-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)

This is -125 on DraftKings, but as high as -150 on FanDuel. Every other book has it at -135 and climbing. Ben Simmons played right around 30 minutes each of the last two games and had nine and 11 rebounds. He Has eight or more in three of the last four games and is averaging 6.8 on the season.

Best NBA Points Prop Bet Today

Zion Williamson Over 25.5 Points

(-120, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Zion Williamson had 25 or more in nine straight games before snapping the streak last game against the Bucks. He draws a more favorable matchup against Minnesota, who is giving up a lot of production to opposing power forwards. As long as Brandon Ingram continues to be out, The Pelicans are going to continue to need Zion to score.

Best NBA Assists Prop Bet Today

CJ McCollum Over 6.5 Assists

(+102, BetRivers)

CJ McCollum has taken a bigger offensive role with Brandon Ingram out. He’s managed to top this number in four of the last five games. He has 8, 9, 9, 11 and 6 assists in the last five games. He missed cashing on this number by just half an assist in his only game below this mark. As long as Ingram remains out, we know the offense runs through CJ and Zion Williamson.
