Fantasy Baseball Rankings 2025
VDP Top 360 Rankings
Updated: Tuesday, December 10, 2024 (2:33 am ET)
ADP: Average Draft Position (through 10 NFBC Draft Champions drafts completed between 11/10 and 12/9)
VDP: Vlad’s (Value) Draft Positions
DELTA: Difference between ADP and VDP (the higher the delta, the better value relative to market price)
Notable VDP Shifts (12/10)
- Mark Vientos – Won’t take a rocket scientist to recognize value increase with Soto on board.
- Michael Conforto – Big bump moving to LAD. May revive career and play into a nice contract.
- Anthony Volpe – Had him too low. Belongs in MI tier with Bichette/Tovar.
- Tyler O’Neill – Better in managed/FAAB leagues. Move to BAL is ideal team context.
- Joc Pederson – An older, poor man’s Kerry Carpenter at half the price because he’s a FA.
- Nick Gonzales – Underrated hitter who could contribute across 4 or 5 roto cats.
- Otto Lopez – moved him up closer to his ADP
-
Danny Jansen – Should perform well relative to ADP as team’s primary C. Can also DH.
-
Patrick Bailey – VDP had him too far below ADP to begin with. Correction.
-
Endy Rodriguez – Good hitter. If he earns DH work, he’s worth a late C2 pick.
VDP Increase – Pitchers
-
David Festa – ssssshhhhh
- Spencer Arrighetti – VDP correction. Had him too low.
- Frankie Montas – Welcome to the Big Apple, Frankie. The home park will be your friend.
- Ryan Walker/Lucas Erceg – We get desperate in GL & DC leagues after the Big-11 are gone.
- Trevor Megill – Moved up closer to his ADP. Devin Williams deal is looming.
- JT Realmuto – Manager (Rob Thompson) wants him to max at 120 games.
- Jackson Holliday – Dropped him down to a MI tier that feels like a better fit.
- Nico Hoerner – An SB/AVG-only bat who likely won’t be ready for Opening Day.
- Josh Smith – An ok hitter but belongs more in the Jacob Wilson/Otto Lopez tier.
- Ha-Seong Kim – Will miss at least the first month of the season. Tough pick in GL/DC leagues.
- Roman Anthony – VDP was a tad high. Red Sox will sign guys who might delay his arrival.
- Byron Buxton – No VDP shift; just note Badelli intends to limit him (100-110 G)
- Spencer Strider – Moved him up closer to ADP on reports he may only miss 1 month.
- Brandon Woodruff – Already talk about him not being ready to start season in rotation.
- Jackson Jobe – Just a slight decrease. Hesitant about an immediate role and success in 2025.
- DJ Herz – I still like him but he’s always available in drafts at my ranking. Control concerns too.
- Michael Kopech, Blake Treinen – Dodgers are looking at T. Scott, D. Williams. Very murky as far as who will earn saves here (might be all of them).
- Tanner Scott – Love him but worried he signs onto team with strong incumbent closer and becomes a setup man. At worse, finds himself in a closer committee.
- Orion Kerkering – Jordan Romano signing hurts OK’s value (if Romano is healthy).
- Seth Halvorsen – I know, it’s Coors. Kinley is horrible and Halvorsen has wicked stuff.
- Nolan Gorman – 30-HR hitters don’t grow on trees; STL mgmt: 600 PA in ’25
- Kyle Higashioka – Pops in for $1 in my early VDP valuations. A plus-power/low-avg C2
- Andrew Painter – Not expected to contribute until after All-Star Break.
- Zack Littell – Sixth SP in a deep rotation. Though injuries are inevitable with this group.
- Justin Slaten – Aroldis Chapman signing reduces chances Slaten will earn save opps.
