Week 2 NFL Game Previews

Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles

PHI -7, O/U 48

Thursday Night Football presents a rematch of a Monday night game between these teams from last year. The Eagles did a great job of shutting down Justin Jefferson in that game, forcing someone else to beat them. If they deploy a similar strategy this time around, who will step up for the Vikings? And for the Eagles, is Kenneth Gainwell truly the RB1?

Green Bay Packers @ Atlanta Falcons

GB -2, O/U 40.5

The Falcons attempted 18 passes in Week 1, leaning on Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. That should continue going forward, which could make Drake London and Kyle Pitts extremely frustrating for fantasy. Green Bay, meanwhile, continues to deal with injuries to their offense, as Aaron Jones and Christian Watson are banged up.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Buffalo Bills

BUF -9, O/U 47

The Bills return home after a disastrous Week 1 showing. How many times will Josh Allen turn the ball over this week? As for the Raiders, we’ll have to keep an eye on the status of Jakobi Meyers, who left last week’s game with a concussion.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals

CIN -3.5, O/U 46.5

We have a fun AFC North showdown between the Bengals and Ravens. The Bengals offense struggled through the elements in Cleveland last week, while the Ravens are dealing with more injuries than any team in football through the first week of action.

Seattle Seahawks @ Detroit Lions

DET -5.5, O/U 47

The Lions and Seahawks met in Detroit last season, too. That game was filled with fantasy goodness, as the final score was 48-45. How much usage will Jahmyr Gibbs see in his second NFL game?

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans

IND -4, O/U 40

The Colts and Texans both lost in Week 1, and now the AFC South rivals square off in Houston. Anthony Richardson is a little banged up following his NFL debut but should be good to go for his first road start.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Jacksonville Jaguars

KC -3, O/U 51

Kansas City and Chris Jones agreed to a deal, so that defense gets its best player back. On the other side of the ball, we’ll see if Travis Kelce can make his season debut.

Chicago Bears @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Total: 41.5, TB -3

The Bears are coming off a rough season opener last week, and is the backfield suddenly a stay away for fantasy? For the Bucs, Rachaad White dominated the usage as expected but how long might that last?

Los Angeles Chargers @ Tennessee Titans

LAC -3, O/U 45

As is tradition, the Chargers lost in heartbreaking fashion last week. Kellen Moore relied on the ground attack in his first game, but will Austin Ekeler (ankle) be available? For the Titans, well, the offense can only go up from here, right?

New York Giants @ Arizona Cardinals

NYG -5, O/U 40

Will the Giants score a point in this game? The answer is yes. And for the Cardinals, can you start anyone outside of James Conner?

San Francisco 49ers @ Los Angeles Rams

SF -8, O/U 44

The Rams have two of the top waiver wire darlings from Week 1 in Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams, but how confident can you be starting either against the 49ers’ elite defense this week?

New York Jets @ Dallas Cowboys

DAL -8.5, O/U 39.5

The Jets have gone through a roller coaster of emotions this week. How doomed might this offense be without Aaron Rodgers, especially against this elite Cowboys defense?

Washington Commanders @ Denver Broncos

DEN -3.5, O/U 39

The Commanders travel to Denver to take on the Broncos. Brian Robinson had a massive role last week, while Antonio Gibson quite literally continues to fumble away his opportunities. For the Broncos, we’ll see if Jerry Jeudy can return to the lineup.

Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots

MIA -2.5, O/U 46.5

Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill put on a show in Week 1. Now we’ll see if there is an encore performance in store against Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots in Foxboro.

New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers

NO -3, O/U 40

New Orleans travels to Carolina for a matchup between two NFC South teams. The Panthers passing game showed zero explosion in Week 1 and will look to get things going at home Monday.

Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers

CLE -2.5, O/U 39.5, CLE

Week 1 was a disaster for the Steelers. Not only were they blown out at home, but they lost Diontae Johnson and Cameron Heyward to injury. Cleveland’s stellar defense won’t make things any easier on them this week.
