Week 5 NFL Game Previews

Chicago Bears @ Washington Commanders

WAS -7, O/U 44.5
Pace: CHI: 26.3 sec/snap (13th), WAS: 27.3 sec/snap (24th)

Week 5 kicks off with a less-than-exciting matchup between the Bears and Commanders. It’ll be interesting to see if Chicago’s offense can keep Week 4’s momentum going Thursday.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills

BUF -5.5, O/U 48.5
Pace: JAX: 27.1 sec/snap (18th), BUF: 28.3 sec/snap (26th)

Jacksonville will stay in London and await the red hot Buffalo Bills, who have scored over 35 points in three consecutive games.

Houston Texans @ Atlanta Falcons

ATL -2, O/U 41.5
Pace: HOU: 25.9 sec/snap (9th), ATL: 28.0 sec/snap (24th)

C.J. Stroud is playing as well as any quarterback in the league right now, while the Falcons continue to utilize Jonnu Smith more than Kyle Pitts.

Carolina Panthers @ Detroit Lions

DET -9, O/U 44.5
Pace: CAR: 29.4 sec/snap (29th), DET: 27.8 sec/snap (22nd)

As a huge home favorite, will the Lions give David Montgomery 30-plus carries again? And what will Jameson Williams’ role be in his first game back?

Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts

IND -1, O/U 42.5
Pace: TEN: 31.6 sec/snap (32nd), IND: 17.4 sec/snap (1st)

Jonathan Taylor is eligible to return this week, which would have a massive impact on fantasy football. His first test might be the best run defense in the NFL.

New York Giants @ Miami Dolphins

MIA -11, O/U 50
Pace: NYG: 29.4 sec/snap (29th), MIA: 26.8 sec/snap (14th)

The Dolphins and Giants both had rough Week 4 showings. We’ll see if Saquon Barkley (ankle) returns but given the state of the Giants offensive line, things won’t be easy for the All-Pro running back.

New Orleans Saints @ New England Patriots

NE -1.5, O/U 40
Pace: NO: 25.0 sec/snap (6th), NE: 23.2 sec/snap (3rd)

Derek Carr continues to deal with a shoulder issue, which really limited the Saints offense last week. The Patriots, meanwhile, continue to deal with key injuries to the defense.

Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers

BAL -3.5, O/U 38
Pace: BAL: 26.9 sec/snap (16th), PIT: 26.9 sec/snap (16th)

The Steelers are dealing with injuries to Kenny Pickett, Diontae Johnson and Pat Freiermuth on offense. That’s not ideal ahead of a matchup with one of the MVP favorites in Lamar Jackson.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Arizona Cardinals

CIN -3, O/U 44.5
Pace: CIN: 27.3 sec/snap (19th), ARI: 27.5 sec/snap (20th)

The Bengals offense continues to look broken, and now they could be without WR Tee Higgins ahead of a matchup with the feisty Arizona Cardinals.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Los Angeles Rams

PHI -4.5, O/U 50.5
Pace: PHI: 26.1 sec/snap (10th), LAR: 27.9 sec/snap (23rd)

Cooper Kupp could make his season debut Sunday, which will make this Rams passing game even more exciting given the emergence of Puka Nacua.

New York Jets @ Denver Broncos

DEN -2, O/U 43.5
Pace: NYJ: 21.6 sec/sap (2nd), DEN: 28.2 sec/snap (25th)

Zach Wilson is coming off arguably the best game of his career and will look to keep it going against Denver’s league-worst defense.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Minnesota Vikings

KC -5, O/U 53
Pace: KC: 26.8 sec/snap (14th), MIN: 24.9 sec/snap (5th)

Kansas City’s passing attack struggled against the Jets last week, but this should be a shootout in Minnesota this week.

Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49ers

SF -3.5, O/U 45
Pace: DAL: 27.6 sec/snap (21st), SF: 31.0 sec/snap (31st)

One of the best matchups of the year, the Cowboys and 49ers square off in prime time in what could be a defensive battle.

Green Bay Packers @ Las Vegas Raiders

GB -2, O/U 44.5
Pace: GB: 26.6 sec/snap (13th), LV: 25.7 sec/snap (7th)

Aaron Jones and Christian Watson were both limited last Thursday but hopefully play more Monday night against a generous Raiders defense.
