Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard faces the Detroit Lions in a Week 8 road matchup this weekend. Pollard underwhelmed against a bad rush defense but was mostly game scripted out in the second half against Buffalo last week. The Lions boast one of the best rush defenses in the NFL, allowing the third-fewest yards on the ground in the NFL through seven weeks. Tyjae Spears did play against the Bills but is likely to return this week after having practiced in limited fashion for three consecutive days. That will take snaps away from Pollard, especially if the Lions go up early in this one. Pollard did draw six targets last week so he may remain involved in the passing game even with Spears back in the mix, but with the tough matchup and less opportunity inbound he's only a lower-end RB2 for this game.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (foot) is off the injury report and will suit up on Sunday when the Titans face the Detroit Lions. Ridley did not participate during Wednesday's and Thursday's practice but was able to return in full on Friday. Even though Ridley has struggled through the first half of the season fantasy managers should view Ridley as a WR3 with upside this weekend. Ridley should see the vast majority of targets as DeAndre Hopkins was traded to Kansas City and now stands alone at the top of depth chart. In addition, Detroit has surrendered the 31st-most PPR points to opposing wideouts this season.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (foot) returned to practice on Friday according to Terry McCormick of the Titan Insider. Fantasy managers should monitor the injury report later as Ridley will likely carry an injury designation as he did not practice earlier this week. After catching four passes for 77 yards and a score in Week 2, Ridley has tallied just 53 yards over the past four games with a mere 3.1 PPR points per game. However, Ridley could see an increase in work if he is able to suit up as DeAndre Hopkins was traded to Kansas City. Fantasy managers should view the 29-year-old as a WR3 this weekend facing the Detroit Lions who have allowed the 31st-most points to opposing wideouts this season. If he cannot play, Tyler Boyd and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will lead the Tennessee passing attack. Update:Ridley was a full participant during Friday's practice and is expected to play on Sunday

New England Patriots kicker Joey Slye has endured a tough stretch of games and drops off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 8 clash with the New York Jets. Slye has gone 5-for-5 on extra points and just 2-for-3 on field goals over his last three games, seeing reduced volume as the Patriots limp to another losing record. Points have been hard to come by in New England, and that trend should continue on Sunday against a strong Jets defense. Even though New York has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to kickers this season, Slye's recent track record keeps him off the fantasy radar.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis (shoulder) was limited during Thursday's practice session. Levis continues to deal with an AC joint sprain that he suffered in Week 4. It's worth noting that the issue is on his throwing shoulder, which could explain his poor play in Week 6. Mason Rudolph started last week and was able to hold his own on the field. Rodolph threw for 215 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the loss to the Buffalo Bills. He'll likely start against the Detroit Lions this weekend, but won't be a recommended streaming option.
