The Baltimore Ravens re-signed wide receiver Tylan Wallace to an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday evening, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. Wallace wasn't fantasy relevant in 2024 in his fourth year in Baltimore, but it was notable that he set career-highs across the board in catches (11), targets (12), receiving yards (193) and touchdowns (one) in 17 regular-season games (no starts). The 25-year-old also contributed on as a key return man on special teams. He'll be bumped further down the receiving depth chart in 2025 after the addition of DeAndre Hopkins, but Wallace wasn't realistically going to be on the fantasy radar anyway. Wallace was taken in the fourth round (131st overall) in 2021 out of Oklahoma State. He had just seven catches on 15 targets for 67 yards and no touchdowns in his first three years in the league.

The Ravens could be looking for additional pass-catching options with Rashod Bateman (foot) and Nelson Agholor (concussion) both questionable against a Steelers pass defense that ranks in the middle of the pack against fantasy receivers. But at this stage, Wallace's 115-yard performance in Week 10 is the aberration, not the norm. Outside of that week, he has seven total catches for 76 yards. Managers shouldn't risk playing Wallace in the fantasy playoffs, even in the deepest of leagues.

The 25-year-old finished the contest with three receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown on three targets. He produced a game-changing moment when he caught a sideline pass from Lamar Jackson, broke a tackle, and ran down the field to complete an 84-yard touchdown play at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Wallace has the speed to break off some big plays, but he's fourth on the depth chart at best. He'll try to shake free again in Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He was limited to open the week, but Wallace is back to being a full participant on Tuesday. It sounds like Wallace should be ready to play in Thursday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Wallace has mainly been playing on special teams and has only two receptions for 31 yards on the season. He's not worth rostering in fantasy formats, but his presence is a good sign for the Ravens special teams unit.

The Oklahoma State product caught his lone target of the day for a 48-yard catch-and-run touchdown in the second quarter's opening drive. Wallace has flashed some big play ability a couple of times on the professional stage like his game-winning punt return for a touchdown last season. With Odell Beckham Jr. gone, Wallace may see a little more time on the field behind the starting trio, but he's still competing with rookie Devontez Walker and former Buffalo Bill Deonte Harty. Wallace may even have to compete with Harty for punt returning opportunities, so his fantasy relevance isn't too high heading into the new season.
