Malik Cunningham Staying In Baltimore

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Malik Cunningham has signed a reserve/future deal to stay with the organization in 2025. Cunningham spent the entire 2024 campaign on the practice squad, but he'll get a chance to earn a spot on the 53-man roster during training camp. The Louisville product started his pro career as a quarterback, but has transitioned to a wideout with the Ravens. He played briefly with the New England Patriots before joining the Ravens roster. There is plenty of untapped potential here due to Cunningham's speed and the fact he played quarterback in college. Hopefully, the Ravens find a way to get him involved in their 2025 gameplan. In addition to Cunningham, the Ravens signed quarterback Devin Leary, receiver Dayton Wade, tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden, offensive linemen Corey Bullock and Darrian Dalcourt, defensive linemen Adedayo Odeleye, Basil Okoye and C.J. Ravenell and linebacker William Kwenkeu.

Malik Cunningham's Stock Is Up

Baltimore Ravens quarterback turned wide receiver Malik Cunningham hasn't looked out of place as he makes the position transition in offseason workouts, although he still probably faces an uphill battle to make the final roster out of training camp. Cunningham made a few plays in just about every practice this offseason and has shown good awareness and quickness. The amount of one-on-one attention he's gotten from head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Todd Monken indicates that they see potential in Cunningham at his new position. The 25-year-old won't be a fantasy consideration entering the 2024 season, but the fact that Baltimore's receiving depth isn't all that great gives him a fleeting chance to make an impact this year.

Malik Cunningham Making The Move From QB To Receiver

The Baltimore Ravens have officially moved former quarterback Malik Cunningham to wide receiver this offseason after signing him off the New England Patriots' practice squad last December to reunite him with former college teammate Lamar Jackson. Last year, the Ravens cross-trained Cunningham as a QB, receiver and special teams contributor, and he played in one game, taking four snaps at receiver in the Week 18 regular season finale. At organized team activities this spring, the Ravens are immersing the 25-year-old at the receiver position, and the Ravens think he has transitioned well to wideout. Cunningham has the athleticism, but he still faces an uphill battle to stick at the position. If anything, he'll likely continue to be a special teams option for Baltimore in 2024.
