Las Vegas Raiders wide receivers Davante Adams (hamstring) and Jakobi Meyers (ankle) both registered DNPs for Thursday's injury report. Reports last week suggested that Adams would be healthy by this week, but as the week has progressed, he's increasingly been unlikely to play in Week 6's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is all while the team is looking for trade partners for the superstar receiver even though the trade market looks like it's going cold due to their asking price. Meyers, on the other hand, reportedly "seemed fine" and missing practice was more to make sure he's healthy by game time. Fantasy managers should still monitor his status leading up to the mid-afternoon kickoff on Sunday.

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) is unlikely to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The hamstring issue may be more of an excuse at this point to keep Adams off the field while the Raiders search for a trade partner. A report earlier this week stated that Adams is nearing full health. The Jets, Saints, and Steelers seem to be the teams pursuing Adams the hardest. However, the Saints just lost Derek Carr (oblique) for a few weeks. The Jets fired their head coach. Other teams don't seem as eager to match the Raiders' asking price. This will be the third straight game Adams has missed. He likely won't see the field again until he's on a different roster.

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been the hottest name in the trade market over the last week or two. The veteran wideout has been sidelined since Week 3 due to a hamstring injury, but it doesn't appear to be serious. That being said, Adams figures to be dealt relatively soon. The New York Jets and New Orleans Saints were the favorites to land the superstar wideout. However, those trade talks may have slowed down, according to Adam Schefter. The Jets have fired head coach Robert Saleh and their season is headed in the wrong direction quickly. While the Saints just lost quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) for likely multiple weeks, which could put their season in jeopardy. Both the Jets and Saints aren't likely to give up assets to acquire Adams if they aren't going to be competitive this season. The assumption is both teams probably still have interest, but it sounds like trade discussions have slowed down a bit.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) came out of the Week 5 loss to the Green Bay Packers with a sore back, but it shouldn't impact Stafford's availability coming out of the Week 6 bye. It's something to note, but Stafford should be fine to play next against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7 at SoFi Stadium. The 36-year-old definitely has had much more of a challenge putting up points the last several weeks without both of his top receivers, Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Puka Nacua (knee). Through the first five weeks of the 2024 season, Stafford has been the QB25 in fantasy with 1,238 passing yards, only three touchdowns and three interceptions. You aren't getting any rushing production from the aging veteran, either. Stafford isn't guaranteed to have Kupp or Nacua back in Week 7, although the matchup is a nice one at home against Vegas' D.

The Las Vegas Raiders' preference as an organization is to trade wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) "sooner rather than later," according to multiple sources. However, the Raiders aren't just going to do any deal just for the sake of trading Adams, and their preference has been not to take on any of the money remaining on his contract. Trade talks involving Adams are expected to heat up this week, with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints being the most likely destinations for the 31-year-old. Adams has missed the last two games with the Raiders due to a hamstring issue, but he's expected to be ready to play in Week 6 if he's traded by then. In three games this year, he has caught 18 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown. Moving out of Vegas and their ugly quarterback situation should be a plus for Adams' rest-of-season fantasy outlook. Stay tuned on this high-profile situation.
