Week 4 brought tremendous excitement with six games decided by a touchdown or less. It was a great week with both of our moneyline underdogs hitting, as well as both of our Sunday Best Bets.

Each Sunday night, I will provide my five instant fantasy football reactions from the slate of games. What were the key performances, surprises and disappointments from across the NFL?

Let’s get into Week 4!

Reaction No. 1: Buffalo Makes a Statement

Buffalo made it clear, they are the best team in the AFC East. The Bills destroyed the Dolphins 48-20, behind four touchdowns from Josh Allen, including three to Stefon Diggs.

Buffalo is playing like the best team in the NFL. Per Aaron Schatz, Buffalo is the best 3-1 team ever based on DVOA.

Buffalo now travels to London to face the Jaguars next week, before hosting the Giants at home in Week 6.

Reaction No. 2: San Francisco and Philadelphia Remain Unbeaten

There are only two undefeated teams left in the NFL, and both reside in the NFC. The Eagles grinded out a 34-31 home victory over the division rival Commanders, while the 49ers earned their third win by 18 points or more, trouncing the Cardinals 35-16. The Eagles are a perfect 3-0 in the NFC and now go on the road to battle the Rams and Jets before a fantastic Sunday Night battle in Week 7 against the Dolphins.

San Francisco has allowed just 58 points through four games but now faces a brutal stretch of games over the next four weeks. The 49ers host the Cowboys, travel to Cleveland and Minnesota, before returning home to host the explosive Bengals.

Reaction No. 3: Is Tampa Bay the Best Team in the NFC South?

Tampa Bay moved to 3-1 with a 26-9 victory at New Orleans, their second road win of the season. The Buccaneers now sit alone atop the NFC South at 3-1. Through four games, Baker Mayfield is completing 69.6% of his passes, with seven touchdowns and just two interceptions. Mayfield is getting time in the pocket and is working his magic in the red zone.

Reaction No. 4: Can Anyone Stop Puka Nacua?

It will be fascinating to see how the Rams offense changes when Cooper Kupp returns. One thing is certain, Puka Nacua has cemented his role as a starting wide receiver.

Nacua roasted the Colts secondary for 9 receptions, 163 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ 29-23 overtime victory at Indianapolis. The fifth-round pick from BYU has been sensational and should continue to produce with two upcoming home games against the Eagles and Cardinals.

Reaction No. 5: Could the Broncos Defense Revitalize Russell Wilson?

Denver’s defense is approaching historically poor levels of performance. Per Aaron Schatz, the Broncos have the worst defense per DVOA through four games.

This could, however, be a good thing for Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. Through four games, Wilson is completing 67.4% of his passes, his third-highest percentage ever. He has nine touchdown passes, only two interceptions and threw three touchdowns in a game for the second time this season.  With the Jets, Chiefs, Packers and Chiefs (again) over the next four weeks, Wilson will have plenty of opportunities for big passing performances. As long as the Broncos defense struggles, Wilson will need to post big fantasy weeks. This is great news for fantasy players who took a shot on the veteran with a late-round draft pick.
