James Cook Sees Limited Opportunities In Week 4

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook carried the football nine times for 39 yards and caught one pass for nine yards in the team's blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens. It was the lowest touch total for Cook so far this season. Cook ran efficiently early in the game against a stout Baltimore run defense but didn't see many touches in the second half. The Bills found themselves down 18 points at halftime and turned to an aerial attack to attempt to come back. Buffalo's lone touchdown was scored by backup running back Ty Johnson from three yards out following a long completion by Khalil Shakir. Cook should see a rebound in Week 5 when the Bills travel to Houston.

Josh Allen Fails To Find The End Zone Against Baltimore

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed 16 of his 29 pass attempts for 180 yards and no touchdowns in the team's 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Allen added 21 yards on the ground on five attempts. It's the first game Allen has failed to find the endzone since Week 9 of the 2021 season. Like the prior two weeks, Allen was kept on the sideline for parts of the fourth quarterback due to a blowout. The Ravens jumped out to a quick lead and didn't allow the Bills to generate many big plays. Allen consistently worked in the short area of the field. The team's longest completion (52 yards) to Khalil Shakir was the product of a scramble drill. Fantasy managers should chalk up Allen's performance as a bad week and start him confidently against the Houston Texans in Week 5.

Amari Cooper Finishes With 35 Receiving Yards In Week 4

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper caught four of his eight targets for 35 yards in a 20-16 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4. Cooper could have had a much bigger afternoon but he had an 82-yard touchdown catch wiped away thanks to a holding penalty on center Nick Harris. As has been the case multiple times this season, Cooper also committed another tough drop, this time allowing an on-target pass to slip through his hands into a defender's for an interception. Cooper now has 16 catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns through four games. Despite struggling in three of his four games in 2024, Cooper will be a strong fantasy play against a weak Washington Commanders secondary in Week 5.

Bills Love What They Are Seeing From Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills love what they've seen from quarterback Josh Allen through three games. He's playing efficiently, making good decisions and taking care of the football. Allen has also used all of the team's skill players, and the proof of that came in the Week 3 dismantling of the Jaguars, when 10 different Bills players had a catch. Buffalo is 10-2 since offensive coordinator Joe Brady took over play-calling duties in 2023. Not only is the passing game working, but the Bills have run the ball more than anyone else in the NFL since Week 11 of last year (34.6 times per game). Allen has more control and power at the line of scrimmage and is doing more with less in the receiving game in 2024 after losing both Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. In the highest-scoring offense in football, Allen remains a must-start QB1 heading into a Sunday night showdown on the road against the Ravens.

Amari Cooper A WR2 In Week 4 Vs. Raiders

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper shook off a slow start to the season to catch two touchdowns in a Week 3 loss to the New York Giants. Cooper will look to do more damage in a road matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4. The Raiders have been generous to fantasy wideouts in 2024, allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. Cooper has been pretty boom/bust in this current iteration of the Cleveland offense but the matchup is good and he remains the No. 1 option in the passing attack for the Browns. Treat Cooper as a low-end WR2 heading into Week 4 against Las Vegas.
